Overall it was a nice little vacation. Only had a couple minor problems but nothing that would keep us away from coming again. Wish there had been WiFi so we didn’t use up all our hot spot data. Had a raccoon on the balcony that got into the trash so we had to put the trash can inside at night and while we were gone. Came back one evening and there was a huge spider in the living room. Other than those few things, it was a good experience.
The cabin is amazing. It was perfect for a family of four. The owner left more toilet paper, dishwashing pods, dishwashing liquid, towels, etc than we expected and that was great. The heat worked amazingly. They have well water so that threw us off because the water has a smell. Our only complaint was that whomever cleans didn't sweep or vacuum because I dropped something under the bed and it came back dirty and they left trash in the can so when we were leaving ours, it was overly full. Needs bigger can outside for trash.

Okay
We have been coming for years and have stayed in many cabins. This one was just ok. Cabin is very remote and quiet. I was thrown off by the no WiFi, but all the tv’s are smart tv’s. The down stairs bedroom only gets maybe 4 channels. I had to hot spot for the up stairs bedroom as there was no batteries in the remote to use the dish. Definitely needs some updating. The water was terrible the smell is really bad. The beds were very comfortable!! Other then these little things overall stay was ok.
My college roommate and I decided we needed a "Girls' Trip" and decided to head to the Smokey Mountains. We are a couple of Texas girls who wanted to escape the heat. Brother Bear Cabin provided the perfect spot for our stay. It's a charming cabin that has plenty of space (We each had our own bedroom and own bathroom), was clean, and well appointed...not too far from town. The back porch is nestled among the trees, and the hot tub would have been enjoyable if we hadn't brought the Texas heat with us! I would definitely recommend this tranquil spot if you're looking to relax. Note: Although the TV is a "SmartTV", you cannot access your streaming services because there is NO Wi-Fi at Brother Bear.
First, we rent several cabins and typically chose one at a remote location. This was definitely remote which we loved. Unfortunately, a storm came through knocking a tree and power line down. We were unable to access the property until 6:30pm (at no fault of the owner). When I called the property manager Regsrdung the tree being down, I was told they could not help us to call Stephanie who cleans the home. She was great, helpful and return our calls.
Stephanie did inform us that while we gained access there was no power and because there was a well we would not have water until the power was restored. No worries, we can ruff it for a bit.
We tuffed it out and left the next morning at 9am for the day hoping it would be restored. Here’s where it gets aggravating:
At 12 we called the property manager, she was less than helpful. No ETA on power outage. We asked for options should the power/water not be restored, which she had none. We also asked about a reimbursement and explained again we had no toilets or showers, no power and had our 6 year old. Her response was “I’m not sure what you want me to do about it.” We were livid at this point. She stated she would call the power company and ask a status and call back. Two days later and she’s yet to call.
We luckily still had Stephanie’s number and called her in the afternoon since we had no response from the property manager. Stephanie again was great and called the power company and got back to us soon after.
The issue we have is that the property manager offer no solution or help, she was flat out rude to speak with which is why we will never rent from this company again. Being in management, you should offer a solution and sympathy.
Now about the home. The sofa bed is broken and unusable. Mattresses are old and extremely noisey. You can only run one shower or dish washer at a time. I’d you turn anything else on the water completely stops running.
We enjoyed the cabin. The inside was beautiful and we met some very nice neighbors. The road was a little steep and curvy to get to the cabin but that made our trip more adventurous. Had a great time.

Brother Bear
TV was atrocious. Dead bugs on back porch, bugs in bathroom sink, by recliner in living room and tub in bathroom. Alarm went off every morning at 550. Could not locate the source. Directions to cabin were not clear

Mountain cabin stay
Great cabin, very steep road, if you have any fears of careening off the side of a cliff don’t stay here! Cabin was clean but a little outdated. Neighbors are great and very helpful! Hot tub didn’t work so we called for help and they came very quickly! Besides the road to the cabin we had a nice stay.
