"We had booked 3 rooms, and enquired about accessing one/all of the rooms a little earlier, around 45 minutes before check-in. The receptionist would only quote 'Check-in is at 3pm' over and over, which was very unhelpful, and not how any other hotel I have stayed at operates. She also told us that all 3 rooms were being worked on without checking this as I would have expected as a minimum. The bath/shower combo in our room was unpleasant due to the proximity of the shower curtain, and the inability of the mixer shower to maintain the same temperature throughout. The other 2 rooms both had showers only, and were much better I was told, although one was a little cramped still. We decided not to have a drink here after the reception experience. Breakfast had a good choice and was nicely cooked, but seemed short-staffed with only 1 person trying to do everything."

"My room was more like a small apartment which was clean & comfortable & the free breakfast was a nice bonus. I didn’t get chance to try the restaurant but it was busy and smelt delicious, overall a very good value for money stay & I’ll definitely stay at the George again if I’m in town."

"This is a gorgeous little property, beautifully decorated throughout. It's location was handy for where we needed to be, although the on road parking is very limited the nearby car park is cheap and only a minutes walk. All facilities provided were clean and modern, the games room downstairs was an added fun bonus that I hadn't realised was there. It's a stones throw away from a lovely little town which has some lovely shops to wander around with a market on Saturday morning. The booking process was easy and check-in was smooth with clear instructions. When there was a small issue (my fault entirely!) These management company were really good, friendly and patient. If im ever in the area again, this will definitely be my number choice to stay here again."
