"We really enjoyed our stay at The Rookery, which was for a family celebration of several big birthdays. The house was beautiful, all the bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were modern and spacious, the kitchen was well equipped and the dining and living room areas were large and fabulous. And everything was spotless! We loved the outside seating areas too which was where we mainly spent our time as the weather was so good. And the views of the surrounding countryside were amazing. We also enjoyed a trip into Bridgnorth less than a 10 minute drive, which is a lovely market town and we enjoyed the Cliff funicular railway! We'd also recommend Sunday lunch at the Bull's Head which was less than 5 mins drive or about a 25 minute walk from the Cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future."

"We had booked 3 rooms, and enquired about accessing one/all of the rooms a little earlier, around 45 minutes before check-in. The receptionist would only quote 'Check-in is at 3pm' over and over, which was very unhelpful, and not how any other hotel I have stayed at operates. She also told us that all 3 rooms were being worked on without checking this as I would have expected as a minimum. The bath/shower combo in our room was unpleasant due to the proximity of the shower curtain, and the inability of the mixer shower to maintain the same temperature throughout. The other 2 rooms both had showers only, and were much better I was told, although one was a little cramped still. We decided not to have a drink here after the reception experience. Breakfast had a good choice and was nicely cooked, but seemed short-staffed with only 1 person trying to do everything."

"We have had a great week staying at Kingfisher Cottage; 12 people, 3 generations. The facilities were excellent. It was so nice to stay in a cottage with good quality pots and pans! We enjoyed all the walks from the cottage as well as the playing field, where our 92yr old grandpa was in goal and our 88yr old Nan Nan kicked the ball around. We loved the view from the side garden overlooking the reservoir, the table tennis table, the outdoor seating, lounge chairs and tables, as well as inside, the open plan kitchen and lounge. We had one wheelchair user with us who could enjoy the downstairs facilities and there was even a good walk from the house on the cycle lane number 45, that was good for a wheelchair especially one that is all terrain, but even the first part was tarmacked so you can still do a fairly good distance with a regular wheelchair. We have had a family holiday, for around 12 to 14 of us, for 26 years and we would say this one of the best houses that we have been to, for it's facilities and care taken to make the stay as best as it can be. "Had a great short break to our first visit to Shropshire. We found The Hurstings to be an ideal base to visit the surrounding attractions. Despite the poor weather we enjoyed our stay & Anne the owner was very helpful in sorting out a small issue we had with the hot water heating late in the evening one night! Thanks."

"We had great two nights here, off grid, remote and amazing.The site is set out well, the summer house was good when on the first night we had rain. The kitchen was well equipped and the firepit was brilliant. The second day and night was dry & warm so we were able to use the decking and sofas.The hut is cosy and even in the colder night were were warm.Would highly recommend"
