We had a great stay at the Travelodge Dongdaemun! The location is ideal—it’s centrally situated, so you’re never far from the Dongdaemun Market, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and all the downtown sights. Plus, being close to several subway lines made getting anywhere in Seoul super easy. ​The room was basic, but it was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. After being outside in the heat and humidity all day, coming back to a room with great, individually controlled air conditioning was a lifesaver for a peaceful night's sleep. The front desk staff was also very helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend if you want a clean, convenient base for exploring Seoul!

The room was clean, but quite small, especially when travelling with luggage. There was no proper wardrobe to hang our clothes, just a small hanging space behind the door. We found it difficult to keep our clothes organised and tidy, and having to open and close our suitcases every day to change outfits was quite inconvenient. Most of the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. However, on our last day, one male staff member stopped me to ask further questions, and unfortunately, I found his attitude quite unpleasant. Apart from that experience, all the other staff were lovely and friendly.

Me and my friend stayed here for 4 nights and we had an excellent time. The staff were all so nice and friendly and very accommodating. The first night we requested to change our room with 2 beds instead of one and they were able to make it happen. Thank you so much to the travelodge staff for making our trip very enjoyable!

The staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The room was a bit small. The breakfast had good variety but some cheese, different breads, bacon or cold cuts would be nice. The rooftop terrace was very nice for city views. We used it everyday and were almost always alone up there. There are many plants, flowers and small potted trees which is great but it would be nice if the weeds could be removed and the nicer plants could thrive. The location is excellent!! Very close to the DDP and in between 2 metro stations that are about a 5 minute walk away. Overall a very good stay.

The hotel was near the stairs to subway station so you don’t have to walk long in the cold especially during winter. There was a convenience store nearby. The hotel staff was helpful and the best part for me was the weighing scale by the elevators to weigh our luggage. That was really helpful for us to decide whether or not we need to add baggage allowance.

Great location and friendly staff comfortable stay

We had a very nice stay at this hotel for a couple of nights. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious enough for our needs. The location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk from the subway, with plenty of convenience stores and bus stops nearby. The only minor issue was that one small USB port didn’t work, but it didn’t affect our stay at all since everything else worked perfectly. Overall, a great experience!

Travelodge Dongdaemun was clean, efficient, well located near major attractions in Seoul with close proximity to public transport, restaurants, and shops nearby. The room was quite small; however, it fit our purpose for sleep, shower, and kept our belongings secure - this is not a hotel if you like to spread out! If I had to pick one issue, it was shower water pressure and heat-up, which took fair amount of time on the 9th FL - otherwise, no complaints about this hotel and found the prices quite reasonable for an overall expensive major world city like Seoul. While not my first choice, I would definitely consider another stay.

The room was very clean and spacious. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay. Only drawback was not much choice in terms of restaurants nearby. There's a convenience store next door and the station next door as well, which were all a plus. The hotel has a restaurant which I didnt get to see or try. Overall, good.
