It was really cozy and comfortable stay for 6 nights. Staffs were friendly and assisted us a lot during the stay. They cleaned the room every day so it felt like a first night stay every time we go back to our room. Building seems to be a little older than expected and there were some damages on interiors in our room. However it was a minor issue and barely visible. Air conditioning and air purifier worked really well and we had good rest at the end of the each days with a big screen tv. It was amazing stays all the time

Solid stay!

The rooms are all unique and quite special. We had a couple of small issues with the bathtub but the staff were very helpful, we were even offered a different room but chose to stay when their other sollutions worked. The hotel is extremely central to both Myeongdong, Jongno Shrine, and many other places. A good place to stay in Seoul. Bed was quite firm but we got used to it.

Family Trip to Seoul – Grand Family Room Review The Designers Hotel Jongno When you travel to Seoul with family from Australia, the biggest challenge isn’t the flight — it’s the sleeping arrangement. Six adults. Different sleep habits. Parents who value quiet rest. Younger ones who still have energy at midnight. We were honestly worried. That’s why we chose the Grand Family Room at The Designers Hotel Jongno. The moment we walked in, my parents paused for a second. My mum’s first words were, “Oh… this is actually very nice.” And that says a lot. The beds were already neatly aligned, with crisp white linens and plenty of pillows. Everything looked clean, bright, and properly prepared — not like a room where extra beds were just squeezed in. My dad immediately walked to the wall side bed, pressed the mattress with his hand, and nodded. “Good support,” he said. Approval granted. What surprised us most was how comfortable the layout felt. Even though we were six people in one room, it didn’t feel chaotic. There was enough space to move around. Luggage didn’t block the walkway. The low center table became our little gathering spot — we placed snacks we bought in Jongno, plugged in our phones, and just sat around talking about the day. For my parents, comfort is everything when traveling. They’re sensitive to noise and cleanliness. That night, before turning off the lights, my mum said, “I’m glad we didn’t book two separate rooms. This feels warmer.” She was right

I visited Seoul this time and chose the The Designers hotel in Jungno, and my overall experience was very satisfying! The hotel's location is very convenient, right near the metro station, with easy access to Jingfu Palace, Insadong, and Myeongdong, making transportation incredibly convenient. Although the room isn't particularly large, it exudes a strong sense of design, is clean and tidy, and the bed is also very comfortable. The bathroom has good water pressure, and bathing is very comfortable. The room offers coffee, tea, and mineral water, with thoughtful details. The front desk staff are very friendly, knowing both simple Chinese and English, communicating without any issues, and they even proactively helped me check the subway lines. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it easy to go out and eat in the evening. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, has a fashionable design, and is well-located. I would definitely choose it again when I visit Seoul next time! I highly recommend this to friends visiting Korea for the first time.

I came to Korea with my husband to visit his family, and toward the end of our trip he had a medical appointment at Seoul National University Hospital. Because of that, we looked for a hotel that would make the hospital visit easy, and we decided to stay at Designers Hotel Jongno. It ended up being a much better stay than I expected. The room was clean, comfortable, and practical. Nothing fancy, but everything felt well-maintained. The bed linens were fresh, the bathroom was very clean, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent, which was honestly one of my favorite parts after long days outside. The room also felt bright and had a good layout, which made it easy to unpack and settle in. There was a safe in the room, which made keeping my passport and valuables secure really simple. I also appreciated the small desk area, which was convenient when I needed to sort through travel documents. The hotel provides bicycles for rent, so one morning I took a quick ride around the neighborhood. Jongno is easy to explore, and walking along the nearby Cheonggyecheon stream was really refreshing. The area felt lively but not crowded. We had a car with us during our stay, and parking was very convenient, which made exploring the city without worrying about finding a spot much easier. The room design is modern and stylish, with plenty of natural light creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The bed was soft and clean, perfect for resting after surgery. The bathroom was spotless, with a great shower and stable hot water supply. There’s also a small workspace and fast Wi-Fi, which made it easy to work or relax 💻. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. When my schedule suddenly changed due to the surgery, they kindly assisted with rescheduling and transportation arrangements. During my trip to Seoul, I stayed at Jongno Designers Hotel for a few days, and it exceeded my expectations. Located in the heart of Jongno, the hotel lets you enjoy the perfect mix of tradition and modernity. The location is excellent. Gwangjang Market, Cheonggyecheon Stream, Myeongdong, Insadong, and Bosingak are within walking distance or a short ride. I enjoyed shopping in Myeongdong, tried local foods like bindaetteok, yukhoe, and “kkwabaegi” at Gwangjang Market, and took relaxing walks along Cheonggyecheon and Insadong. Transportation is very convenient. Subway and bus stops are nearby, so taxis were rarely needed. Being in the city center, there is plenty to see and do without visiting major tourist spots. The hotel interior is stylish and cozy. The “Designers” concept is evident throughout. I was pleasantly surprised that the first floor sells snacks and drinks. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the electric heating pad kept me warm. The multi-outlet compatible with various plugs made charging easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. They greeted me with a smile, communicated well in English, and gave tips about local restaurants and attractions. The hotel also provides bike rental and free washer/dryer. Overall, Jongno Designers Hotel excels in location, cleanliness, service, amenities, and attention to detail. The calm atmosphere and comfortable space made my stay memorable. ### 🌿 Review: The Designers Hotel Jongno — Clean, Cozy, and Perfectly Located I recently visited Seoul from Australia, and staying at **The Designers Hotel Jongno** was honestly one of the best decisions I made on this trip. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. The lobby isn’t huge, but it’s stylish and gives off a calm, boutique vibe. The staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming, which made check-in super easy — a great start after a long flight. But what really stood out to me was **how clean everything was**. The bed linens were spotless, the towels were fresh and fluffy, and the whole room just felt well cared for. Later I found out the hotel had **recently replaced all their towels**, which totally explained why everything smelled so clean and felt brand new. As a traveler, cleanliness is a big deal for me, and this place exceeded my expectations. Another thing I didn’t expect — and really appreciated — was that there’s a **washing machine and dryer available in the lobby**. It might sound like a small detail, but it’s a total lifesaver when you’ve been traveling for a while. Being able to do laundry on-site made my stay so much more comfortable and convenient. The **location** is also unbeatable. The hotel is just a short walk from **Seosulla-gil** and **Hipjiro**, two of the most popular spots in Seoul right now. Luxury on a budget, would stay again.

Budget friendly hotel, the aesthetic of the hotel and rooms are very nice. We booked Suite and figured to have spa bath in the middle of the room but we were unfortunate to get one of the only suites without and it was also really not our style. (The green suite with pictures and frames all over the walls) fortunately the hotel accomodated us really nicely morning after and let us change to another suite that was almost top floor. All in all a good stay and for the price we paid you do get alot. Just keep in mind that the reality is a bit different from advertised pictures.

Review of The Designers Hotel Jongno - 1 Night 2 Days Stay I stayed at The Designers Hotel Jongno, located in the heart of Jongno-gu, Seoul, for one night and two days, and my experience was very satisfying. It was a precious time during my trip where I could feel warmth and attention to detail. The hotel’s location is excellent. It’s within walking distance to Jongno 3-ga subway station, and major tourist spots like Cheonggyecheon Stream and Gwangjang Market are nearby, making it convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and food adventures. The exterior has a modern design, and especially at night, the lighting adds a sophisticated atmosphere. Upon entering the lobby, I immediately felt a clean and warm ambiance, and the front desk staff greeted me with smiles, giving me a sense of comfort as if I had returned home. I arrived quite late at night, but the hotel’s 24-hour front desk service made checking in smooth and hassle-free. The staff were very professional and friendly, providing detailed information about the hotel facilities and the surrounding area, which made me look forward to the rest of my trip. Especially, having a staff member who spoke Chinese helped me communicate smoothly without any language barriers, which was really convenient. The room I stayed in was a modern-style double room. The location was central and great. The staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and but especially during the night there were bad smells coming from the bathroom drains. There is no mirror in the room, there is no service light at the bathroom mirror, the TV was malfunctioning, lack of proper hangers, and during my stay for a few days there was no Wi-Fi in the room. The value for money is too high. I do not recommend this hotel

I fl in from Australia all excited for my Seoul adventure… and immediately got greeted by a monsoon. By the time I dragged myself into The Designers Hotel, I looked less like a traveler and more like a wet mop with luggage. But here’s where the story gets better: the front desk staff (who, by the way, are always there 24/7 like superheroes in suits) upgraded me for free to a room with two beds. Did I need two beds? Absolutely not. Did I love it? Of course. One for me, one for my soggy backpack. We both slept well. Then I discovered the laundry room, and wow. Not the sad, coin-operated kind you see in dodgy hostels, but a sleek, modern setup that made me want to do laundry even when my clothes were already clean. After a few spins in that machine, I smelled less like “rainstorm survivor” and more like “functional human again.” The hotel itself is like a convenience store and a cozy home rolled into one. There’s a parking lot (for the smart people who didn’t arrive on foot in the rain), and a magical little corner that sells snacks, drinks, booze, and ramen. Dangerous combination, because suddenly it’s 2 a.m. and you’re holding a beer in one hand and slurping noodles with the other, wondering how life got so good. Overall, The Designers Hotel might not have chandeliers and butlers, but it has something better: comfort, practicality, and staff who actually seem to care whether you’re having a good time. Underwhelming Experience

From the photos, you get to see how nice the rooms are etc. Each room have different concept etc. ONLY if you pay for the most expensive rooms available. Which we did not know there is a difference in room concept. We paid for a normal queen size and room. And the room is nothing from the photos as advertised. However to be fair, the room is fairly big enough to put luggage and walk around. The toilet and bath tub is big enough to roam around. That was the only thing that is positive from my experience. The bed is another let down. I know the material under the bed sheet is suppose to prevent any stain for the mattress. But it is damn noisy as it sounds like plastic. Not comfortable to sleep on. As for room service, nothing much was done. Bed sheets tugged in, no change in blanket nor bed sheets or pillow case. It was only after a few days later the room service changed the blanket and bed sheets. Another encounter was after the first night we did not want the room service. But however despite putting the sign "Do Not Disturb" they still clean the room when we are not around. We had some valuables lying on the table etc. But lucky nothing went missing. From then on we just ask for room service everyday and keep our valuables. In all, it is a average experience. Not so recommendable. Only stay if you are a Korea expert and know your way to nearby places and trains and you are fine with subpar hotel standards.

I had to switch rooms twice due to issues—a cramped layout in the first (bathtub next to the bed and a narrow bathroom), a leaking bathtub in the second, and in the third, a hard bed, intrusive light from another room, no city view as advertised, and a door that wouldn’t close properly. The front desk representative (man with glasses) was professional and explained it was the last available room, but overall, the experience didn’t meet expectations.
