"My friend and I enjoyed our stay although due to staff illness our treatment times were moved and one if mine was not available and I have not yet received an email confirming the £79.00 I paid for a treatment as credit as this could not be accommodated on the day. This was discussed at the spa reception. "

This hotel would not even let us defer this break let alone refund us the cost . This happened despite hotels.coms best efforts to intercede on our behalf. Just pure profiteering . "

"The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly — unfortunately, the hotel itself let the experience down. I originally stayed in Room 8 on the ground floor. After returning from dinner, I discovered the window wouldn’t close or lock. I reported this to the night staff, and one member of staff mentioned they were already aware of the issue and had previously called an engineer. I was offered an alternative room, but it was a downgrade and there was no offer of a price reduction. The new room (Room 15) was very small and had a large cobweb in the corner. The fridge was extremely noisy, sounding like a washing machine on spin, and the extractor fan ran constantly. I eventually had to turn off the isolator switch just to get some sleep, only to be woken at 4:45am by a delivery lorry outside. It’s a real shame because the bar area was clean and the food was amazing, but the hotel accommodation itself was very disappointing. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay here again"
