Romantic Pioneer Square NY style Loft

The State Hotel Studio One is offered as a vacation rental. This studio faces First Avenue, full of world class restaurants/bars, shops and art galleries. The building owners studio unit features dramatic 14 foot ceilings and a 12 foot arched window, an open 790 Square foot floor plan with carpeted floors and brick walls.
FYI: Pioneer Square is a busy vibrant neighborhood, filled with sports fans , harmless, homeless panhandles, art galleries, restaurants and bars with live and recorded music. There is a popular bar downstairs and recorded music can be heard till closing. Earplugs are provided for light sleepers.

The living room is set with comfortable furniture. there is a full size velvet couch and 2 reclining rocking chairs. Fret for getting your feet up after a full day of sight seeing. The dining area and window have antique wood tables with 4 chairs. for dining or working. Sony 48' Smart TV. Broadcast and Netflix Movies. There is a washer/dryer hidden behind a black lacquer Chinese screen.

There is a canopy King bed, with curtains and soft linens and a bed warmer. There are eye masks, ear plugs and a sound na-machine for restful sleep. There is a separate kitchen with gas stove , full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher and is fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes for cooking and dining. The bathroom has a tub/shower, with shampoo , soaps , towels, robes , mirror, toilet and vanity.
Please note, there is no elevator and the loft is located one flight up on the first floor.
This classic structure was the first building completed after the great Seattle Fire of 1889. The State Hotel was named for the year Washington Territory became Washington State.
The State Hotel sign on the outside of the building is the second most photographed sign in Seattle. The colorful history of the building is mentioned on the Underground tour and has had many uses from Alaska gold rush provisioning for miners headed north to a brothel!

There are seven permitted Full time Live/Work Lofts on the upper floors. The Lofts range in size from 784 sq.ft. to 2,494 sq.ft

The State Hotel Building is a mixed-use building on the National Historic Register and the in the Pioneer Square Preservation area.

Great Loft
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Studio #1 Loft! The location was excellent. We were able to walk to all of the main attractions easily. The restaurant downstairs was delicious and convenient for our first night. The loft was so comfortable and beautiful. It really added to our Seattle adventure!

Pioneer Square perfection!
When you want the authentic downtown Seattle experience on your timeline. We loved our time here and adored the privacy this loft provided. A fabulous respite after a hard day of exploring. And, literally the softest bed we’ve ever slept in. So comfy - cocoon and recharge. Bonnie was a wonderful host. The fresh flowers and Prosecco were a refreshing surprise we’ve not had in any of the properties we’ve stayed at previously on VRBO. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Great place to stay at in Downtown Seattle. There are plenty of food places around the area, I recommend Halal guys if you’re into Gyros. Only down side is parking, but if you don’t mind walking a block to the garage, it is a 10/10.

Parking and The homeless
The property was very nice and the location was good for us to get to anything downtown quickly, but the parking was kinda stressful and the tow trucks were out in great numbers. I did find the parking garages, but needed to get out early and some are locked in until 6:30a. I found one a block or so away where we could leave anytime and that had another problem associated with that. The shocking amount of the homeless was a bit overwhelming to us! While we understand the homeless throughout our country...they were somewhat aggressive from time to time and walking to the parking garage had me on high alert. One woman was screaming at the top of her lungs at 1am and it went on for about 45 mins...banging on doors and “over the top” profanity. I did not anticipate this, but my wife and I used a lot of understanding. Our stay was nice though!

I loved the size of the space and that it had character. I'm not used to downtown noises so I did find it a bit noisy. But that's just the location since it was right in the thick of things. You get convenience, but it's noisy outside.

Great place to stay
Bonnie was really on top of things for this property. She made it really comfortable and welcoming. It was cool to stay in this historic building. It had super-tall ceilings and a nice layout. Walking distance to Pike's Market and really close to the light rail link station.
