"My daughter and I get away every few months. We love Monterey, i tried Seaside because it's about 5 minutes outside of the areas we normally go to. Besides the construction at 9am and dog barking next door to us, we had a good stay. The room was quiet and cozy throughout the night. "

"I would give this place five out of 10. I definitely would not stay here again. It certainly OK for a pitstop, but not for a lengthy stay like we had. The bed was super uncomfortable. Our room overlooked the pool, which you would think would be fantastic. It consisted of the dirty rooftop of the hotel and the pool. Screaming kids in the pool started at 9 AM till 10 PM. A tiny Chihuahua travels with us and rides in a stroller that is covered. We never have trouble bringing her in a restaurant, except for the restaurant at this hotel. Every other restaurant in Carmel allowed us to bring her in. We were charged a $30 a day parking fee that was not disclosed to us until checkout. That was a surprise. I was also surprised when I pulled into this hotel with a gas station entrance. How bougie. and impressive. The hotel is also conveniently located across the street from Starbucks that was a plus however, the local ambulance parked there and that’s where it dispatched with lights and sirens and kept us up all night long. "

"We loved our stay at Discovery In in Seaside. It was our first time staying in Seaside, and honestly our expectations were low. The staff was amazing, Maria kept our room spotless!! From check in, to clean towels daily, a freshly made bed each evening, great location with Safeway for amenities and Costco to fill up our tanks before we headed back home! Just 10 minutes to Monterey/Pacific Grove…we’ll definitely be back!! Thanks to your amazing staff for a great stay!!"

"We’ll be staying here whenever we’re in Monterey from now on. The hotel was in great shape, right on the beach, and had an attached full restaurant and bar. Staff were all super nice. It’s an extra 10 minutes to drive to the aquarium or golf courses, but well worth it for the price."
