"Booked a 3 night stay in what was described as a budget room . The room we were given was directly above the kitchen so any chance of a peaceful nights sleep were gone . If it wasn’t the sound of the bottles being emptied into the bottle bank it was the delivery drivers clunking about. Then we were woken just after 6am by the kitchen staff talking on their phones . The room was ok in it’s self , comfy but bathroom was in need of a good clean . Staff were good and food in the hotel was ok only...

"We stayed week commencing 22nd July 2023. The facilities at the house were very well suited to our requirements. It is a short walk from the harbour and the supermarket. We came across a playpark in the local estate (on the side of the petrol station). The children enjoyed the rock pools and the local beaches. "Light bright rooms, overlooking fields with castle & sea in the distance. Plenty of parking at front of building. Sraff extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice both cold & cooked. There is an onsite cafe adjouning hotel which was ideal. They served hot & cold dishes, variety of sandwiches, cakes, puds etc. It is open 24/7 & used by passersby on A1. Very central for trips to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindisfarne etc. We would definitely recommend & will be making a return jorney for sure as still lots to explore. "
