Wonderful stay
We had a great stay as a group of friends. The photos really dont do it justice - there is plenty of space in this light, airy, gorgeous bungalow. Really enjoyed using the well-stocked kitchen and the hot tub was a lot of fun. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay.

Easter break
We were very fortunate to find this perfect property to suit the needs of the whole family ranging from my 91 year old mother in law to my 5 year old grandson. Close enough to Seahouses to make it a pleasant walk into but tucked away from any hubbub around the busy roads. The patio area with decking tables and chairs was excellent especially on sunny days with the hot tub which was well used. The teen boys had loads of fun on the beach and dunes and ‘discovered’ the home guard look out position on the dunes along the road to bamburgh. There was a field full of ewes and their lambs over the fence from the decking area which were fun to watch for all ages. I am a wheelchair user and the whole house was on 1 level making life easier for me we also took a portable personal hoist which fitted well into the bedroom and under 1 of the king size beds enabling easy transfers. There was a lovely welcome hamper which we enjoyed and the whole of the holiday was relaxing enjoyable and had great Wi-Fi to keep the kids happy when we were having a quiet time. We definitely intend to book again in the future. Thank Rachel.

Awesome place, perfectly suited and located for exploring the Northumbrian Coast
Awesome place, amazing hosts and in a perfect place for exploring Northumberland. Great time had by all from 6 to 75 years old. If you are looking for a place to explore the Northumberian coast look no further. Great seating outside for a bbq and drinks.

Excellent weekend
We are a family of 8 adults 1 child and 2 dogs and have just returned from staying at this lovely home. It is so spacious with everything you could possibly need. The location is so peaceful and just a few minutes walk to the beach and a little further to the shops etc. The house has 2 tv lounges one with netflix and we enjoyed the hot tub. We also enjoyed watching the farmer and his dogs rounding up the sheep to move them to the next field. All in all a lovely place I would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Wonderful New Year Family Break
We all had a wonderful 3 night break at The Beach House. We live in Renfrew so it was lovely for us to be able to meet up with my Chesterfield family over the New Year. All of us were very impressed with the well equipped & beautifully furnished property - and great location (5 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes drive to Seahouses). The Beach House is spacious and despite being in a large group (9 adults and 2 spaniels) we had plenty of room to be by ourselves in the 2 lounges! My daughter is disabled and my Mum has arthritis so it having full disability access was brilliant. The Christmas tree and welcome hamper were lovely touches and made our holiday even more special. Thank you so much Rachel - it was perfect x

Christmas House
We stayed at Rachel’s holiday home a couple of years ago at Xmas. Along with the same friends we decided to return this Xmas and if anything it was better. House is superb, an Xmas tree and lights had been put up, lots and lots of space, great for the 6 and 4 year olds!! A wonderful welcome basket of treats and essentially milk in the fridge. Rachel was a delight to deal with and we had no problems at all. We hope to return.

Lovely Home Away From Home
I had a fantastic stay at the holiday home for 3 nights, in which the entire family were thrilled with the presentation of the property! It offered a great deal for all the family with plenty of space and incredibly comfortable beds! We really enjoyed our stay, however one thing that would have really made the stay perfect would have been some type of audio/hi-fi system, as my family love their music!

Second stay better than the first
This was our second stay and we loved it even more than the first time. Everything you could need in a holiday home is there, you don't struggle at all. It's a 5 min walk from the beach and 10 minutes to Seahouses. It's the perfect place to stay in Seahouses and we will hopefully book again for next year if it's available!

Family Holiday
This house is amazing and has every thing you need for a lovely holiday, plenty of space for everyone we even set up spare dinning table in lounge to use as a games table,large table in kitchen to eat at and plenty of pans etc for cooking , and we enjoyed the large table outside prob seat 10, and its so private looking on to farm field we saw pheasants and a hare, and as it is so close to the beach nothing else you need for a lovely holiday .

Great location, 5 mins walk to beach and 15 mins walk to centre. House is large with lots of space for a large group. Kitchen had everything we needed but it would have been helpful to have hand wash/soap and toilet rolls in all bathrooms. We had a fab time at Beach House.

Very spacious and well equipped. We were a party of 6 adults, 2 children & 2 dogs. Other family resided in + 2 other houses but we were all able to dine together in the bungalow. Wash/dry facilities good but take more tea towels and make sure your tea/coffee and sugar are easy to get out of your bag when you arrive. Garden is really just decking space. Bbq available. Kitchen lovely to cook and dine in. Lots of little things like books and games so a relaxed and homely feel. Location on a quiet residential estate, beach/dunes within easy walking distance. We all had a great time.

Our family party of 6 adults a 4 year old and a wee dog have had the most amazing Xmas here . The house is very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. We were out for Xmas lunch but I cooked on Boxing Day and was very impressed with the Rangemaster cooker . The complimentary Prosecco was lovely as were the Xmas decorations- no one wanted to leave

Great family holiday
Seven of us rented the house for a short family holiday to celebrate my mum’s retirement. It had everything we needed and we had a fantastic time. Loads of space which helped with our one year old and a well equipped kitchen which was important to us. Best trip out was to Alnwick Castle. A great week all round.

Family weekend away
Spacious, modern detached bungalow with open aspect to the rear. Situated on the edge of Seahouses so easy 10 minute walk into the centre; lovely beach only 5 minute walk away. The property could have been cleaner... it looked as if the mats had not been moved and swept underneath since maybe beginning of season. Bedding was very well used. Dirty shower cubicles. We didn't use the one in main bathroom as the plug was blocked. Seems silly no toilet in bathroom and no plugs for sinks. Not the best property we've stayed in.

Sorry to hear this as I’ve had no recent complaints from anyone else about any of it and nothing was brought to the attention of the housekeeper who’s number I supply to guests before arrival in case of any concerns or emergency ? Also no messages were sent to me via homeaway message or telephone call so unfortunately this public review is the first I’ve lnown of a problem . Not sure what you mean about no plugs as there definitely were until now and the bedding is replaced every year . I’m sorry you didn’t like the arrangement of no toilet in the big bathroom but upon feedback from guests prior to us updating the room , removing the loo in and adding an extra shower besides the bath , people had said they would prefer the extra shower for large groups getting ready at the same time and with there being three other loos in the house catering for everyone including those with disabled members of their party they hadn’t seen it as a problem . Also that’s why each room is clearly listed and photographed for potential guests to make an informed choice . If the housekeeper had been made aware about the blocked drain then she would absolutely have come over and sorted it . I do hope that despite your concerns you managed to enjoy the wonderful Northumberland coastline

Lovely house in a great location
We loved our stay at The Beach house and would certainly return... hopefully in the spring to see the Puffins on Farne Island! The house is a great size and easily fit our party of 4 adults and 2 children. The enclosed garden was fantastic and our 6 and 3 year old enjoyed the freedom it gave them. The location is peaceful and you have a park and beach within a few minutes. The walk to town is 15 minutes (with little legs) but flat so no problem there. In the car it is a short 2 minute drive. The house was well equipped, (plenty of plates, glasses, bowls etc) but could do with a few new pans for the induction hob! All in all we hope to return again and really thank Rachel for accommodating us well on our very last minute booking!

Excellent location, lovely house, great communication beforehand - would recommend.
Six lady golfers for five night stay. Lots of room in the kitchen and lounge, bedrooms very generous, four cars easily parked on drive. Central location for some wonderful golf, beautiful coastal walking within two minutes. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again as very reasonably priced for the space (second lounge attached to the disabled bedroom also with large wet room).... thanks Rachel....

A quiet location ten minutes walk from Seahouses . The bungalow is large but has a few drawbacks - the main bathroom although fairly large does not have a toilet and guests have to use the cloakroom in the hallway . Plus the seating in the lounge is uncomfortable . But overall the property is well presented ( except for the strange posters ).

Glad you enjoyed your stay . Sorry you found our large sofas uncomfortable .. we’ve never had that complaint before , in fact quite the opposite and even had people sleep on them . I’m not sure I understand the comment about ‘ having to use the toilet in the hall ‘as both the bathroom and toilet ( one of three ) are both in the hall and we found it a better use of space to include a shower and bath rather than a toilet and a bath in our main bathroom so that large families like ours can get ready at the same time and that three toilets in the house including an accessible one for our disabled guests usually seems to suffice . All of this is clearly described on the site before booking for the comfort of our guests and so that they can make an informed choice . The posters are limited edition nautical art prints that we felt were something a little different and can be seen on our photographs however it’s true to say not everyone will like the same thing .

Could not fault this property, felt very spacious. As in previous reviews garden decking needs attention but that is a minor thing. We had lovely weekend to celebrate my sons 40th birthday, house and location were excellent. Look forward to returning. Just love this coast so many lovely walks and dog friendly places to eat and drink in. The perfect get away location.

Will have a look and see to those but having spent a lot on refurbishing the main house and purchase of disabled equipment we can’t do it this year and also we can’t do it whilst the house is busy with holiday makers but it’s def on our list .

A great holiday
We stayed here over Easter weekend. 4 adults & 4 children. We had a fantastic time. The house is big with enough room for everyone and it is in a quiet location within walking distance to seahouses and only a few hundred meters to the beach. The kitchen is very well equipped which is difficult to find in a lot of holiday cottages but it had everything we needed to make a full Sunday roast. We were very sad to leave and will definitely be back. The cottage also has a garden are to the rear with nice views over the fields. The only negative is that the garden could do with some tlc as the decking is tired and lots of weeds however this didn't spoil our holiday at all and we still enjoyed sitting our in the lovely weather. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

Weather was cold but sunny most of the time which was a bonus when we visited Bamburgh Castle {we even managed an hour on the beach there after the interesting child freindly tour of the Castle.. Just The Ticket
We had a great time at the Beach House. 3 mins walk to the beach & the kids loved it as did the dog. Easy and quick access to so many places. We even made it to Scotland in 40 mins. Had a wonderful family Christmas at this home, perfect for our needs.
Where do I start? The house had everything, large rooms, bedrooms, kitchen. All the utensils etc for cooking a Xmas dinner. Ideal space for the kiddies to enjoy their Xmas presents. Wonderfully decorated plus a Christmas tree and decorations. It was only a 5 minute walk from the lovely beach so we could stretch our legs after the turkey! Home from home. Rachel our host was more than helpful, answered my queries straight away, perfect. We shall return 10 out of 10 .
