"The property was ideal for our group. The beds were good and comfortable. Everything we needed was present. Our only criticisms were that the front door was difficult to lock and open and the bathroom window could not be locked. These are very minor observations. Before our arrival someone had removed the cover from the boiler. This did not affect its use or performance."

"Great location near the seafront and good value for money. I had somehow missed the fact that check-in was only up to 8pm and was half an hour late. Luckily the hotel phoned to check up on me and I wasn't too far away. Even though they had to wait for me, I still received a very warm welcome. I was only in the area overnight before a race the next day but I would definitely stay here again. "

"I was very happy with my stay. I was here for a run. I had a nice meal which was needed. I was particularly impressed at guest laundry at no extra cost. The staff were friendly and helpful. I asked for a small extension to my check out time and this was not a problem. This was extremely helpful as it enabled me to change after my run. I would definitely stay here again"

"A really lovely quiet hotel, there arent many in the area. All very clean, lovely bedroom and superb breakfast with a friendly smile. Checkin was smooth and the lady was really friendly and showed me to my room and also served me a few well poured guinness later that evening. Thank you i will certainly stay again. "We have just returned from 1 night stay at Royal station hotel ,. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. On arrival we were checked in smoothly although our room was not ready the girl at reception was very helpful stating we could leave luggage . We were given an upgraded room which was beautiful. We both prefer the old buildings with a little character. Breakfast next morning was lovely, self service , food was hot and tasty. We have stayed here many times when we visit Newcastle and will definitely be returning very soon. "
