"This Homewood Suites is an EXCELLENT value, clean, convenient location, and polite staff. My son & I stayed here 1 night before a medical appt. at Yale Medical Center. We were both traveling long distance for this appt and I decided a few days before to make a stressful situation better by staying at Homewood rather than battling the I95 traffic after 2.5 hours of driving. I am sooo glad we stayed here. Pros: The hotel was an easy on and off I95 and less than 15 min. from the Yale Medical Center we went to. The staff was polite and helpful especially the breakfast serving staff who greeted each sleepy guest with a big smile and hearty hello. The pool was not shockingly cold and the hot tub actually worked. Our room was incredibly spacious with a full sized fridge, kitchenette, living room was separate from bedroom. The outdoors had a lovely patio where we ate the complimentary evening snacks (chocolate cheesecake, wings, and curly fries). We did not eat the complimentary dinner nor did we have the beer nor wine, also complimentary. WONDERFUL hotel and staff. Cons: breakfast food did not taste good but lots of eateries nearby."

"This house worked well for our large group. The sun room in front worked well for morning yoga, but we forgot our yoga mats so we just did a few sun salutations; so be aware, if you want to do yoga, bring your yoga mat! This property has exactly what you need for inside living, but it was lacking nice touches like extra blankets and living room thows. If you plan to come, bring your own beach towels and beach chairs, these are not supplied. We saw alot of toys for young kids as well as games and DVDs. There were televions in the family room, the master bedroom and the queen bedroom on the second floor. There also were 2 ovens in the kitchen, as well as a really nice refrigerator. The upstairs bathroom has both a walk in shower as well as a tub/shower combo, which is great for kids! Bring your own igniter for the stove and the BBQ the ones they had there were running low. BBQ was really greasy, but we luckily had experience BBQers with us! The location is right across the street from the water and the view is stunning! One drawback is that the driveway can only handle 2 cars. There is a pay parking lot across the street but it is expensive, so some of us emptied our cars and parked around the corner, it was inconvenient but it worked out. I thought all in all it was an 8 out of 10. Communication with the host was easy and much appreciated!"

"The property itself was wonderful, and the host was absolutely amazing. The host deserves five stars—he was extremely responsive and answered my texts every day throughout our stay. I would definitely rent from him again.That said, there were a few issues with the property. The furniture was very outdated and the couch stinks and the beds were uncomfortable to sleep in. There also were not enough towels provided, so I had to purchase additional ones myself.When we first arrived, the home had a noticeable cigarette smell, which led me to buy Febreze plug-ins to make it more comfortable. We also found numerous beer bottles in both the backyard and the basement, along with cigarette-filled bottles that had not been cleaned up.Overall, the host was fantastic and made every effort to be helpful, but the property itself could benefit from some updates and better attention to cleanliness."
