"£50 fine for parking outside the hotel. Whilst we can't blame the hotel because there is a warning in their greeting message... our check-in was limited to speaking to somebody on a Ring Doorbell. Nobody on reception, so no-one to talk to. I would have asked "okay to park here?" if there had actually been somebody present - the parking sign is half way down the street and meter in not obvious. All felt a bit impersonal. Bathroom a bit dated with an unspeakably large bath...a good shower would have been better. Parking police left a bitter taste at the end. Acknowledge my fault, but after a long & tiring journey it feels like I've fallen victim to the tourist tax."

"Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. Staff couldn't be more helpful and evening meal was very nice. Room was very comfortable, just needing a wee lick of paint!"

"I expected a little more for my £156 a night. Corridor carpet was taped where it had worn, room was noisy from main road outside (take ear plugs), shower took ages to warm up. The staff on reception could be a little more engaging. I got a perfunctory "We need a credit card against the room; here's your room keycard; you're on the first floor. However, the bed was very comfy and the hotel is in an ideal westend location."

"Excellent spacious property. Clean and well stocked with everything you need. Very comfortable beds! The kids loved the pool table, massive TV and air hockey. Plenty of on street free parking and regular buses nearby into the city. "

"Basic, clean hotel, comfortable bed. Unfortunately the key mechanism on our room door did not work and staff were unable to fix it. This meant that we either had to keep the door ajar, or one of us had to remain in the room at all times to let the other in. Obviously this was extremely inconvenient and frustrating. "

"Good location, very close to train station and shopping. Host was excellent with communication. Some more cutlery would be useful and there is only one small pot, one small frying pan and a wok. Comfy beds though and enough space for a family of 4. "
