Great Glemham is a peaceful village in rural Suffolk, just 15 minutes from the coast, and has the added bonus of a 17th Century Inn serving superb homemade meals and local beers in the cottage garden or by the fire. You may recognise one of the rooms if you were a fan of the television series The Detectorist! Suffolk is the home to two National Cycle Network routes and you can store your own bikes in the shed in Hattie’s garden or hire them from the pub. Equally, there are wonderful footpaths to explore or take the car and discover historic Framlingham, Orford or Woodbridge, and the picturesque coastal towns and villages of Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Southwold. It is also less than 15 minutes to Snape Maltings. You’re welcomed into an entrance area with hallstand, coat hooks and a picnic basket tempting you to venture outside. There is hard flooring throughout the living areas with carpet in the bedroom and, whilst the property is well suited to guests with a mobility issue, please note that there is a step to the front and back doors and a small lip on the shower cubicle. There is underfloor heating throughout with adjustable thermostats in each room and a fan is provided for those warmer days or nights.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OPEN PLAN LIVING AREA The living area is light and airy and furnished with a sofa, chair, coffee tables and a TV cabinet with Smart TV. There is also a couple of dressers with books, games and a jigsaw or two to keep you busy! A bluetooth speaker is also provided.

There's plenty of attractions to discover too, with Framlingham and Orford Castles, Sutton Hoo, RSPB Minsmere and Snape Maltings, as well as independent shops, cafes, restaurants, and traditional pubs nearby, particularly the 17th century Inn, The Crown, almost next door.

Very clean and well organized property, with an excellent welcome book to help us enjoy our stay. All of our hosts suggestions for places to eat were spot on and the food was delicious. We only stayed for two nights to catch the exploration of the Sutton Hoo Heritage Trust site and this place was the perfect base for that. Will definitely consider returning to continue our exploration of this part of England.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hattie’s! The property was super clean and the owners Nicki and Steve were very pleasant and welcoming.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to others and hopefully will visit again in the future.
Our stay was hugely enjoyable. The property is comfortable, beautifully decorated to a very high standard, spotless and very spacious. And it boasts a nice garden as well. The setting is tranquil and the area safe. There is a pub around the corner, a minute walk away. Just perfect.Steve and Nikki were amazing. Our car broke down on arrival so they gave us lifts to the nearby towns. They were extremely accommodating and went out of their way making our stay the best possible. Thank you both for all your help and making us feel at home.We highly recommend it and will be returning soon!
Hatties is the perfect place for a relaxing break. It is beautifully furnished with everything you could need and is spotlessly clean. It is ideally situated for exploring the Sussex coast and the surrounding area. I can really recommend this and hope to return.
