Staff were friendly enough but lacked experience or decision making. Woken 7:20 by music off a gym class. Plenty of rooms vacant, unsure why we were given that room? Tired and small room, didn’t risk breakfast based on reviews.

The food in restaurant was excellent we had 3 course and it was all delicious. The steam was out of order on Friday which did spoil that spa experience for us but luckily it was working the following day

Breakfast was cold, in certain areas the carpets are worn and dangerous, the room had damaged furniture, holes in the curtain nets, etc. The rear unattended side door appeared to be left open all night so anyone could enter the hotel. Expedia has been passed photo's. It is a shame that the hotel appears uncared for, as it is in a lovely location and from the outside looks nice.

The service was great but the hotels is very run down and needs a lot of work. My room was nice and big but there was some kind of boiler or water system that was making a noise every 2 mins. The newer part of the hotel is better but the old building needs a complete revamp

Beautiful surroundings with golf course. Pool was cold, jacuzzi broken, steam room broken. Changing room for health centre bit not very clean. Restaurant had very limited menu- poor vegetarian choices and not able to just have a starter/cheeseboard in the restaurant area despite being quite so had to sit in the cold foyer to eat the cheese board. It was very poor value for money, no chutney as advertised. Room fine and clean but bed quite uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend sadly. Right under the Stansted flight path so noisy with aircraft from 3am.

Had a trip with work and was a very enjoyable stay. The food was excellent and the two girls waiting on in the restaurant were excellent even though it was very busy. Would stay here again, without hesitation.

Hi nice & clean hotel, staff were professional & friendly the pool & jacuzzi was very relaxing, the grounds around the hotel were amazing, the bedroom nice & efficient, the only downside was the mattress was a bit too hard, but managable, but would definitely stay again

Our room was lovely; it was warm and clean. The bathroom was fine and there was an excellent TV! But the central common areas and corridors were a bit cold. The Health Club was a bit disappointing: the pool and steam room were fine but the jacuzzi wasn't working, nor was the ladies' sauna. Breakfast was not great.
