Easy to access from the metro and the staff were very helpful. We had an early flight into Santiago and they let us store our bags there until check in while we went out and explored the city. They were also able to point us in the direction of a free city tour and helped us arrange a taxi to the airport for our early flight out when it was time to leave.

A really good hostal

We enjoyed our stay here. The hostal is in a good location where you can walk to many places. It's just minutes from the metro, supermarket, restaurants and major site seeing areas. The people are really helpful and nice. Breakfast is a buffet of eggs, fruit, juice, cereal, bread, jams, butter, coffee, milk and tea. We would definately stay here again.

Pretty clean but slightly tired hostel. The reception staff were very helpful if you needed something. Not the most social of places but maybe that was just the vibe at the time! Nice location next to Forestal park and within walking distance to almost everything

Good hostel

Hostel in Santiago I had originally booked this hostel for a week, but changed my mind and only booked for 1 day. Not because I didn't like the place, but because my plans had changed. I had my own room with a shared bathroom and toilet. The room consisted of a double bed, a chest of drawers and a fan to give me some cool air in the heat. The hostel itself was perfect, it was perfectly located and the people who worked there were super nice and helpful. Breakfast is included in the incredibly cheap price of the night.

Overall an excellent option

Overall, this is a great place to stay hostal-wise. The shared bathrooms were always very clean, in both the AM and PM when I used them. I stayed in a single room (room 2) and was quite pleased with how comfortable the bed was and how the pillows were the perfect blend of firm and soft. Could use just one more pillow though. Reception speaks English as well. Major props for allowing me to check in earlier after a 24-hour flight journey! Rooms are very clean and housekeeping is also offered (from an unpleasant woman, a sharp contrast from the cheery reception). Breakfast is included and pretty simple but kept me satisfied with eggs (hard-boiled and one day scrambled offered), cereals, cheese slices and fruit. There is a fridge so you can store sundries and a big kitchen to cook. Of course, you should clean up your cutlery and plate ware after use! This isn’t a party hostel which I was super glad about. I slept really well each night. The mini fan in the room is super helpful to block out any noise - room 2 is the closest to reception so without the fan you would hear any talking or music there. A slight warning that the room had a slight musty smell of cigarettes bc a patio is right next to it, and you can smoke on there. Still wouldn’t prevent me from booking this room again (and I HATE cigarettes). The location of this place is ACE, within walking distance of the historic centre, as well as Bellavista. One thing: get rid of the gross bathroom mat!

A wonderful hostel with extremely helpful staff thanks Juan and Guillermo and others! Staff create a wonderful atmosphere in the hostel, provide advice, look after safety and it’s easy to meet other travellers snd get advice. I had the top room which is a fairy book fantastic and a dream to stay in. Bathroom good enough. I highly recommend!

Good location both for public transport and the lovely neighborhoods of Santiago. Good value, great staff. The social spaces are brillaint especially having a seperate quiet sofa area

Night staff member was friendly but also sang music so could hear in my room - so also bad sound insulation. Morning staff member indifferent and seemed standoffish, better off asking Google than her. Weird-ass token system for breakfast where you go to the front desk for a token and then you give it to the breakfast server who picks out the food for you as you choose it. So he just stares at you while you're looking at the choices. Food was not good, was cold, and small portioned even though in theory you're allowed to take as much as you want. But you only get to go to the feeding trough once so you better know how hungry you are. WiFi fast. Bathroom had too much chemicals used to be cleaned, smelled bad all night. Bed was terrible, you sink in and then can't move. Area is dangerous, Uber driver warned me not to be around the area at night.

So here are the little gripes I had about this hostel: 1) the sofa in the lobby is uncomfortable it's so bad, they could really change it 2) even from inside my bedroom, the door could only be locked and unlocked with the key. So not only is this inconvenient, it's not safe in case of emergency evacuation 3) they need 2 or 3 fridges, just one is not enough for the whole hostel Like I said, these are just minor points and I had a very pleasant stay. The staff isn't only polite, they talk to you like they're your actual friends. I would certainly go back.
