We loved our apartment with a beautiful view of the canal and gondolas . They were great about arranging us transportation both from the airport and also to the port in Chioggia. Again, couldn’t be happier with our experience ."

"We had the top level- P- of this hotel for our honeymoon. The room was a bit smaller than expected/anticipated from what the Expedia pictures had shown. However, we had two terraces on either side of our room which allowed plenty of fresh air and light. One terrace was private and the other one was for use by other hotel stayers. All the amenities were up to date. Our bathroom had included a bidet. We had a vessel style sink which I personally enjoy. The location is great, it's near great restaurants. We enjoyed going to Al Gabbiano."

"The property was centrally located by the Rialto bridge which both good and bad. Good location but bad location as it was very crowded and busy. Evening and early morning was still loud. Pillows were hard and no coffee in the room. We had a mosquito in our room and were biten. Breakfast was included and was good. Do do not get a water taxi from the guys in from. Go to the left as you go out and ask for. Overall, nice."

"Contacted the hotel 4 wks & then again 2 wks in advance about our reservation - they never got back to us. Arrived & they were going to rent us the room, despite it being nearly midnight (but before their deadline to checkin). We paid an additional $125 & they rented it to us. Got bite 10 times by a Mediterranean recluse spider (venomous). Would never stay here again, at $500/a night it was terrible."

"We booked a 6 guest apartment in the San Polo area that was supposed to be part of the Palazzo San Lucas. Extremely overpriced, ($600 per night). Poor maintenance, zero amenities, the TV remote was missing and no one came from the hotel to provide one once reported, It was a cold night and the heater did not work. It was not clean enough, although the bathrooms were clean, there were spider webs hanging from the ceiling at the living room and kitchen area. The painting on the wall was peeling off, the finishes were poor, the curtains old and not very well put together, the bed sheets provided were not thick and fluffed, It was also noisy, you could hear the neighbors flushing the toilette and walking. … everything about this place looked cheap. Not the experience we were expecting in Venice whatsoever. We trusted the wonderful reviews from Expedia, but in this case they were not accurate. So please pay attention to the room you’re booking, apparently they are not all at the same level and not in the same area. The images posted don’t match what we found at the hotel. This option was extremely disappointing and over priced. I wish we could get some type of compensation / refund, we felt completely scammed by the hotel. I don’t recommend, stay away from it."

"We stayed here for 3 nights in May as part of our Italian vacation. Location is good- quiet and outside of the super busy spots but close enough to walk where you want to go in a few minutes. The building is very old, but restored nicely and well maintained. Definitely old world and not modern. We were in the red room which was not our taste, but was clean and well appointed. Except the blow dryer which barely blew a warm breeze of air. Breakfast had a good variety and the staff were very responsive. Scrambled eggs were the best we had on our weeks long trip, but wished there was a made-to-order option for fried eggs. If there was, this wasn't communicated. Easy water taxi to the airport- though not cheap!"
