"I spent three nights and everything was fine. The place is clean and all the staff members I interacted with were very nice. The bedroom I had had a window to an indoor area but not to any exterior. I did not spend too much time in there so that was fine with me. If you are a light sleeper, you may have trouble as there is some noise and music at night from next door patios (restaurants, etc.). It is easy to walk to Isla de las Flores crossing the bridge and the new bus station is 7minutes away...

Flores is the main tourist hub and is known for its colourful historic buildings and cobblestone streets. The island is small enough to walk around entirely in about 15-20 minutes, with most hotels, restaurants, and tour operators situated along its waterfront promenades or around the central plaza. It offers direct views of Lake PetƩn ItzƔ.

When is the best time to go to Santa Elena?
The best time to visit Santa Elena is during the dry season, which runs from November to May.

The shoulder months of November and May offer a good balance of favourable weather and fewer crowds compared to the peak dry season. You can still expect comfortable conditions for sightseeing and enjoying the area's lakes and jungle.

While the wet season (June to October) brings lush greenery and fewer tourists, it also means higher humidity and more frequent, though often brief, rain showers.
