Beautiful, peaceful location. Amazing monarch butterfly preservation work demonstrated on site. Nice breakfast delivered to room. The suite was clean but shabby chic, historic furnishing. And like many historic inns, sound traveled from next door and upstairs rooms.

This is such an amazing place! You drive through a neighborhood to get there, so the first time I was thinking where am I even going but then you walk into a garden pathway that opens up to butterflies and breathtaking views. If you’re going to Capitola to relax or vacation or zen, this is the place for you!!

Very nice and quiet place for couples, secluded from all the traffic because its located in the residential area. The property was not too far from the beach and stores. Staff was very nice and accomodating. The estate had Beautiful Scenery, nested right next to the Ocean. Would highly recommend as a place for a couples retreat.

Dont expect to see things like the photos from website, but if you want quiet, rustic and a great location to Capitolas main street THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Clean room, friendly staff to help with questions. Breakfast was charming and tasted great.

It was beautiful! Comfortable, cozy and Romantic. Continental breakfast was delish and prepared so cute. Was there to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and she Loved it ! Beautiful views as well with a short walk to Capitola shopping center.

Everything about monarch cove is just magical... the views, the rooms, the grounds, the staff, the butterflies and hummingbirds ... just beautiful. I've stayed at monarch several times and it is the only place i want to stay.

Reception and staff are lovely. Beautiful property overlooking a cliff in the ocean. I know they are starting to think about renovation and remodeling and updating and upgrading. This will be a Lovely place to stay once they make the upgrades necessary to be safe and comfortable.

All the staff & houskeeping were very friendly & accommodating, upgraded our cottage with out asking, taught me about the grounds, beautiful succulant plants, the Eagle that comes to their Eucalyptus trees & about the Monarch Butterflies they save their eggs inside until they hatch & have released over 4000. I actually got to see one coming out of its cocoon. Exciting! Very nice continental breakfast that they delivered to our cottage. The views of the ocean are the best & even if it was cool & foggy, it was warn & sheltered on their grounds. We truly enjoyed our stay!!! We do recommend staying here & even though it's close to Capitola village, it's hilly & you'd want to take your car & find parking.

This was such an enjoyable stay! We brought our three kids and the staff was so attentive and thoughtful. They even had a scavenger hunt ready for them. It’s a beautiful property located in an a peaceful neighborhood with beautiful views of the ocean. The breakfast was also very good! Fresh fruit and pastries along with coffee and juice made our mornings that much easier. Overall, a great stay and would definitely recommend!
