Please note when booking through VRBO: the price calculator only shows what is due to VRBO. Sanibel Holiday requires an applied deposit of 20% of the base rent rate plus all rent taxes plus the non-refundable $50 reservation fee which totals $55.75 with the required Florida taxes. This totaled amount will be charged by Sanibel Holiday to the credit card provided. Your final payment amount is collected by SH and will be reduced by this charged amount. Please see "Rental Agreement" under the Review Rules and Policies section (step 2 of 3) for all of Sanibel Holiday's Policies and Procedures.

***Please be aware that our island is still going through recovery. All public beach accesses are open, there are approximately 24 restaurants now open, as well as a few shops including Jerry’s Grocery. The Causeway is currently under repair with 20 m.p.h. speed limit. Expect traffic delays coming on and off the island. Neighboring homes and condos are making repairs so expect noise, trucks & equipment at your property and throughout the island. Construction noise from interior work in adjoining or nearby units. Some amenities in your complex may be closed. Pickle Ball & Tennis Courts construction began on12/4/23 with a targeted completion of 3/16/24. Estimated Elevator completion date for Building 5 is 1/24/24.***The pool is now open.***

Loggerhead Cay #532 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with angled views of the Gulf of Mexico. You will feel right at home and ready to enjoy your stay on Sanibel Island. A full kitchen and dining table for 6 make it easy to cook and entertain. Also provided are 3 TV's, Wi-Fi and beach equipment for your use. Loggerhead Cay complex amenities include: a heated pool, elevators, gas grills, tennis court and shuffleboard. The condo is dog friendly (25 pounds or less and 1 dog per property) with a non-refundable pet fee. This is a non-smoking property.

There was a partial view of the ocean from both the front of the condo and from the back, including the balcony. We loved that beach chairs and umbrellas were provided. Although reconstruction continues on this property, the tennis courts, pickle ball courts and shuffleboard were brand new and enjoyed by all. We have stayed at Sanibel Holiday properties before and have always been pleased with their service!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at Loggerhead Cay. Met some nice folks and the unit was exactly what we expected. However, the rug needed a deep cleaning. On the day we were leaving the cleaning staff showed up earlier than 10:00 a.m. and had taken over the elevator not allowing those of us leaving to use the elevator. They should wait until guest leave at 10:00 a.m. to hold up the elevator. Many people waiting at the elevator to bring down their possessions. If they only waited till 10:30 a.m. people would be out of their units and out of the building. Someone should tell the cleaning staff that they don't have access to the building till then. It's not fair that we had to hall our staff down the stairs cause they were holding up the elevator.

Each week we stayed we saw great progress around us. There is a lot of construction activity and people moving back in but that gives me confidence Sanibel is on the mend. We were the first to stay in the condo post-Ian. The rental company was very responsive on anything we needed, even stopping over to help locate the remote control for TV. The beach, the sun, and shelling was wonderful. The bike paths are great and there are enough restaurants open to give a variety of options. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Fantastic Rental

Rental unit was very clean! It had 4 beach chairs, 2 beach unbrellas and offered a renters closet filled with toys, games etc. Master bath was clogged, called rental office and someone was there within two hours to fix it. Loved that the rental office called after two days to check in on how our stay was and if we needed anything else during our stay.

Logggerhead Cay 532

Check in process was super fast and helpful. The condo was clean and well cared for with exception to the carpet that was stained in many places. When the air conditioner quit cooling, the agency was prompt and courteous. All service people were very polite and responsive.

Reviewer Comments: We were disappointed with a few things:WE arrived after hours and were unable to get into the unit as it had a code which we had never been informed of and it took awhile to connect with someone who could help us get in. also , the oven did not work at all and we had to live without use of the oven for 2 weeks. toward the middle of our stay, they brough us a very small toaster oven which certainly did not substitute for an oven. It seems that the appliance should have been checked before renting the unit again. Also, the toaster was not working properly. Maybe no one cooks there - we were very disappointed and had to use our friends' oven to do any cooking. It would have been thoughtful to have received some compensation for this inconvenience !

Great beach condo

Excellent Property

We had a great time at Loggerhead Cay. The unit was very clean and had all the comforts of home. The unit had a great view of the pool area, and was very close to the beach so we didn't have very far to walk. The unit had everything we needed to have a great week-long get away. We would absolutely return in the future. Thank you!
