"Very nice hotel , wonderful location the views from our room were spectacular,well located to spend your time exploring the area , we took in the one restaurant dinner and service were excellent , the breakfast buffet was good , our last morning the buffet was busy and our service was none existent , no coffee or even a request for any the half hour we ate. This should not happen at a luxury hotel. One evening the main lobby bar Azur was in disarray ,service was very poor. The food once received was very good. We advised them and their service recovery was much appreciated. If we are ever in that part of the world again we would definitely stay here. The positives outweighed our couple of negative interactions. There front concierge was outstanding a shout out to them"

"Stayed many times at this complex - love the duplex 2 bed. Access to roof for private sunbathing. Apartments are a little dated now but still perfectly good and clean. Any faults are dealt with swiftly. Just wish that they would provide some basics , especially for late arrivals - Bottle of water? Washing up liquid? cloth to wipe kitchen?. Just one tiny piece of soap supplied. BUT towels change twice per week and maid service 3 times a week - we will definitely continue to enjoy our holidays here. Lovely pools at both locations in the vicinity. quiet and peaceful."

"I had a wonderful stay at Vale d'El Rei Hotel & Villas. The property was beautiful, peaceful, and exceptionally clean, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Everything was well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The breakfast was especially impressive, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. The location is a little away from the main road, so having a car is definitely recommended, but that also gives the hotel a quiet and relaxing setting away from the crowds. Overall, everything was excellent, and I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again."

"We had a lovely stay A car would be ideal for supermarket runs etc. nearby coves only a short ride away and we used Ubers for going out in the evening in Carvoeiro. Pool is great with undisturbed views. We stayed in a few nights and had a takeaway as well as a BBQ. Only small negatives were the downstairs bedroom and games room were musty initially but improved after the doors were opened. There were a couple of sun beds that ideally it would’ve been nice if they’d been replaced."
