"We will stay here again ."

"We stayed in this lodge for our visit to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We had a room that had a park view which was well worth every penny. The room had a little patio which we enjoyed each morning and evening. The breakfast is certainly "grab and go". You pick it up in the lobby and bring it to your patio (in our case) and eat. If I were to make a suggestion to the owners, it would be to have more lighting in the rooms as the wood in the room absorbs the light (we know how that goes because we live in a log house). I would also recommend an extra trash can in the bathroom."

"Very pleasant stay overall in a unique space and place. Views, birds, stars, location, and communication with owner was all great. While Earthship designs have evolved significantly since this one was built, it still functioned very well with minimal-to-no supplemental heating needed for comfort. One of the Earthship principles is contained / repurposed trash, so it was disappointing to see trash on the land along the periphery of the yard. I can tell the owner is making consistent effort to improve the property, however, so I am hopeful it will be cleaned up. Co-host who lives in a separate structure onsite was very welcoming, friendly, and delightful to talk to. He is happy to interact when engaged, and keeps to himself otherwise, so privacy inside the Earthship was not an issue. Will definitely consider staying here again!"

"Everything was perfect! Great house with amazing views. It was the perfect base camp for us to explore the area and then come back to relax. It felt very private and the backyard was perfect for watching deer roam through. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. If we had forgotten anything we would’ve been fine."

"We arrived late at night the directions were so helpful. I’d arrive in the light 0f day instead. The accommodations were super clean and well designed. It’s an awesome grain bin. So different. Big comfy bed. Lots of blankets. We came for the stars on a dark sky night. It was so satisfying! We laid right outside our grain bin in the back of our truck. We brought pillows and blankets. The Luriad Meteor shower was happening. We watched from 2:30 am till dawn. For me, it was spectacular. I met the owner and she was so cool. They’re completing more places to stay and I’m certain they’ll be awesome. We had the BEST time!!!!!"

"Very nice cabin with gorgeous views and lots of natural light. Kitchen and living space is well designed for beauty and functionality. Little a-frame next to cabin is a fun 4th room. "

"What a fabulous stay our small group of five just had! The peace and quiet, the rustic (and spotlessly clean) charm of this quirky home, all the facilities, and the location, met all our needs. This really was a break for us, and a comfortable escape. We definitely want to return. We left with regret, but with a great deal of gratitude."

"The place is in a lovely location and the management was friendly and responsive. Unfortunately, the property is pretty run down and the cleanliness on check in was lacking. Just a little more upkeep and this would be an excellent rental. FYI, the location is quite remote. The closest gas station, grocery, and restaurant are 20 miles away. Come prepared:)"

"Easy to get to location, clearly labeled parking spots and entry process. It was great to get to do a load of laundry after hiking and playing at the Sand Dunes. Host was very easy to work with and quick to respond."
