"We have stayed several times at the San Simeon Lodge because of the location and easy care for our small dog. There is a lot of grass out front of rooms and rock areas around property. Great for the dog and view of the ocean. The hotel is set way back off the main street so it is pretty quiet too."

"There is the indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. There are restaurants and a bar-and-grill within a 2 minute walking distance and not to mention the ocean, which is directly right across the street. This is an ideal place to stay."

"Wonderful stay. It is a bit remote, which is exactly what I was looking for, but if you aren’t expecting it, come prepared to have only one restaurant and really not much within walking distance. There are a lot of great hiking trails within a 10 minute drive. The staff were all amazing and the food in the restaurant and coffee shop was much better than expected and reasonably priced. Highly recommend for a 2 to 3 day stay"
