The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are spacious, nice & wonderful. That said, there’s a lot to improve, the hotel is not worth the price!The fridge lacked a temperature dial. Seemed broken off, so we were not able to use it, because it was too warm. The table on the balcony was incredibly dirty & should be wiped down by housekeeping! I live on the coast & know things get dusty quickly, but this was black! The staff seems disinterested & slow. Only Valet was truly courteous.We tried to order dinner & there were only 2 people working. It wasn’t busy, but everything took so long. While waiting we noticed that the guy behind the bar was not wearing a mask. Same for someone coming out of kitchen then going back. It is mandatory in CA to wear masks in public places & when serving customers. What made it worse is that he touched & rubbed his nose with his hands while preparing drinks. That’s gross even without a pandemic. A lot of guest in the hotel were also not wearing masks & not asked to do so. I found it quite shocking that they didn’t reinforce their own policy. For breakfast they first forgot part of the order & we had to walk back down to get it, then they were unwilling to give us proper utensils (we only got plastic), and instead of whipped butter they gave us pieces of wrapped butter. My other breakfast orders didn’t have the honey as advertised. Again, for what you pay it’s just annoying and I can’t recommend it. If it was cheaper, it would be ok.
