"The house was unexpectedly nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the cool (unheated) but not cold, jacuzzi pool after a long hot day in Manuel Antonio park. This is a nice place, but they really, really, need to let folks know that this place is very remote and the road is very bad. Great if you want to bring everything and just stay there, but it is a 45 minute drive on bad, unlit roads to come or go from the lodge. "the location was very beautiful with great food. The staff were always on hand and were quick to provide great service when needed. The land itself is a bit difficult to walk around because of so many hills(even going from the rooms to the pools is a hill) but there are several golf carts to help carry people around when required. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from a wonderful cove with a small reef and kayaking. A great vacation overall"

"The hotel really is at the top of a mountain so the views in every direction were amazing. Stayed in the main building level one. Full access to the whole park's network of trails and suspension bridges makes this an ideal location for wildlife viewing. Road up is very steep but it is safe because it is one way traffic with separate roads going up versus going down. Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Supper quality was good, however not much choice for vegetarian, other than salad and french fries (both were very good though). This is the place for wildlife. Were able to see squirrel monkeys, sloths, a nesting pair of tucans, a pair of macaws, iguanas and frogs. Every morning, Jose the hotel park naturalist does a free one hour tour with his spotting scope where you can learn all about the animals and their habitat. You can purchase a night tour with Jose and see up close some amazing creatures including colorful frogs and two-toed sloth. Highly recommend purchasing a tour with Jose."

"The property is within a 5 min walk of Manuel Antonio park gate as well as a long beach. Located a block off the main road, so a quiet location. Breakfast was fantastic - fresh fruit every day and made to order from a variety of menu items. Supper was excellent as well. Room was well equipped with fridge and coffee machine. Handy luggage rack to lay out wet clothes. Nice pool at both the main hotel and the one across the street (Gardens). We stayed at the Gardens location ground floor furnished patio and had visiting howler monkeys, giant iguanas and a variety of birds. Reception staff was very attentive and assisted with recommending and booking a couple of excellent excursions: kayaking in the mangroves and Chocolate/coffee tour (with sampling). Highly recommend staying here."

"This hotel is amazing! Courteous and helpful staff greet you, including a resident cat. Breakfast is good with an outstanding view. Make sure to watch the sunset or the monkeys by the bar. Pool is a perfect place to cool off and relax. Restaurant serves fresh seafood and other offerings. The location is off the main road a bit so it is quiet yet accessible."
