"We stayed at the Royal Solaris in Cabo as a family of four with young kids and overall had a really enjoyable experience.
The biggest highlight was the staff — consistently friendly, welcoming, and polite throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Rena and Cesar at the kids club, who were absolutely fantastic. They created such a fun and engaging environment that our kids were begging to go back every single day, which made a big difference for us as parents.
Food was another strong point. The buffet offered a good variety with reliable quality, and there was always something for everyone to enjoy. The snack bar and pizza area were also great options for quick, casual meals in between activities.
There were a few downsides. Our room door wasn’t very soundproof, so noise from the corridor carried through quite easily. Being on the first floor meant a lot of foot traffic at all hours, which could be disruptive, especially at night. We also used the on-site restaurants three times — while the food and service were good, the experience felt a bit rushed each time.
Lastly, securing good sun loungers was logistically frustrating. Although the hotel says not to reserve before 8am, it wasn’t strongly enforced, so most prime spots were taken unless you were up around 6:30am.
Overall, it’s a great family-friendly resort with excellent staff and solid food, but a few areas could definitely be improved."
"We truly appreciated the overall friendliness and professionalism of the staff during our stay. Nearly everyone we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. There was one individual at the café whose demeanor felt uncharacteristically rude, but aside from that isolated experience, the rest of the team was warm and accommodating.
We also recognize that the staff made sincere efforts to assist us during a few unexpected situations throughout our stay. However, in several instances, we found that we needed to follow up multiple times before receiving the help or resolution we initially requested. While the outcome was often positive, the process could have been smoother and more proactive.
The resort itself is visually appealing, with a thoughtful and attractive design. That said, the online photos create an impression that feels more elevated than the reality. The pool area, while nicely designed, did not seem adequately sized for the number of guests. It was often difficult to find seating, and the need to pay extra for cabanas—combined with a lack of available chairs—was disappointing and detracted from the experience.
The beach is undeniably beautiful, as is common in Cabo. However, it is important to note that swimming is not feasible in this area due to strong currents, which is typical for most beaches in the region except for places like Chileno Beach where snorkeling is possible.
One recurring concern was the presence of unpleasant sewer-like odors"
"This is a beautiful, clean, family-friendly resort. The crowd was definitely mature, mainly families with kids of all ages but we didnt experience any nuisance that may be expected at a typical family resort. The location is perfect. You can walk to the San Jose town center, as well as local stores. An Uber ride is only about 5 minutes. We went to Le Comer a couple of times to grab some snacks for the kids (fruit & pasteries). It is an easy walk but only a 5 to 10 dollar Uber ride. There are also so many great restaurants in San Jose to choose from! The resort bar/eatery was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced - or at least as expected. Javier's is the more upscale restaurant (on site) and the prices seemed a bit on the higher side but with all of the restaurants in the area, we did not get the chance to eat there. The spa seemed a bit pricey. For example, a couples rose quartz massage was listed under the "specials" at over $1,200 USD. I have zero complaints regarding the cleanliness of the resort or the staff, and the high prices can be avoided. It was a perfect stay and I would absolutely stay there again! Highly, highly recommend!"
"We had an amazing time at Hyatt Ziva. The staff was super helpful and kind. They exceeded our expectations and were a huge part of us enjoying our time there. The dining options were great quality, especially for being an all-inclusive."
"Clean room, good support from staff, bed was queen I guess but was short for a couple. Good location to know the neighborhood and cool attractions around"
"120% recommend Paradisus, the property is amazing, the staffing is on another level. The ocean view and the breeze amazing. The food options and the choices of the restaurants. Concierge Fernando was the best. He insured we had the most optimal stay not to mention he assured us we had a cabana every day and checked up on us. Our steak house waiter was the best wish I can name drop him but I were glasses lol and dinner party next to us we’re singing happy birthday as well. he ensured. My wife had the best birthday ever we are lactose intolerant. He made sure my wife had a birthday celebration cake, that he said he would make himself not to worried he delivered 5 start service exceeding my expectations. The Tamahawk was so juicy and tender and the sides were delicious. You have to experience it for yourself. Very mellow and just the write amount of music to have fun with your partner. "
"Everything was great! Service was amazing, location and access to beach was perfect. Hotel could use updates & remodel, outdated & a bit worn down in some areas."
