Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos- All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"Cleanliness was the most admired aspect of the resort. Food varieties was suboptimal. Expected more varieties that showcased the Mexican cuisine, unfortunately no! Hyatt needs to improve on this. I’ve been to many Zivas and I can this emphatically that this is not the place for foodies. Absolutely NOT! Check in was horrendous! I’ve emailed 3-4months prior to our (7 family members) arrival, to have our rooms in close proximity, I was told upon arrival that it was not possible. Okay, that’s understandable, but I would have preferred to have it told to me prior to my arrival to know what to expect. We waited for 2+ hrs to have it confirmed that Nope we couldn’t have that option. We were extremely disappointed and that tainted our entire stay (6 nights)!!!! Hyatt, I love your class but you falter in the areas noted above. Some staff members were very, no, extremely helpful and cordial and we appreciate those staff: Carlos from room service who delivered our order faithfully and professionally."

"We stayed for 5 nights, with 4 kids, 6, 8 10, 17, and we had a great time. You can't swim in the beach. In fact, Someone almost died while we were dipping our feet in. Security guard allows feet to dip, but blows his whistle when you submerge. The person that almost died didn't follow the rules and swam out, the tide took her in and emergency life guards were alerted. They saved her and she was fine. We ubered 10 mins to La Playa El Chileno and we swam there. Rented umbrellas, chairs at the beach. No bars or restaurants near El Chileno so we stopped at Oaxaco for a $4 cooler, free ice, and bought beer. Overall, great experience. Wonderful staff, clean rooms, comfortable pillows and beds."

"We had the swim up room and it was absolutely WONDERFUL! My husband and I traveled without any kids so it was nice to have the swim up room facing the adult pool. The variety of food options was great…restaurant, outside barefoot grill, 24-hour room service. Great nightly entertainment for adults (live band) and children (current movies on an outside screen). Only downside is that you cannot swim at the beach at the hotel because it is too dangerous. Watching the waves day and night was extremely peaceful though. Other public beaches (Chileno Bay and Playa de Santa Maria) are available nearby (about 8-10 mins away)…catch an Uber (super cheap!)."

"The hotel was beautiful; the room décor and beds were excellent, the views from the pools and restaurants were magnificent, and the staff was very friendly and professional. It was easy to Uber to both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo where the cuisine, shopping, and nightlife were excellent. I would highly recommend the Hilton Los Cabos."
