Stayed in the Bello Horizonte for 3 wks pre-Christmas rush.Amazing location, nice walking distance from town, close to the beach, quiet, able to watch sunset, birds and whales from private terrace. Juan always responded promptly to any questions. The caretaker family/cleaners were friendly and helpful, do not speak English but nothing that the wifi and google translate couldn’t fix. The place is not brand new any more - missing tiles in the pool, some wear and tear, but nothing that affected the enjoyability of our trip. Comfy beds, hot shower, adequate kitchen supplies. Drinking water is supplied for duration of stay. We rinsed dishes and fresh food with actiban. Small ants around the kitchen, keep things sealed. Recommend downloading WhatsApp. SIM cards can be bought for cheap at OXXO.Bring cash! The atm across from the bank doesn’t always have pesos. Other atm’s out of service. Most of the places we shopped/ate, only took cash. Wasn’t a secure place to lock our valuables. We jokingly ended up calling the safe, the “not-so-safe.” Could see screw holes in the stucco where it had been installed before and can easily be knocked off the wall if someone wanted to, so we ended up carrying cash/passports everywhere with us. Town was vibrant and active, felt friendly & safe. Many young families travelling with little ones. San Pancho but not as busy as Sayulita, which we were grateful for.We loved the Paradise Villas and the town of San Pancho and would stay here again
