Ocean Front View - Steps from the beach!

Relax in this spacious and modern 1 bedroom / 1.5 bathroom recently remodeled condo located at the southern tip of the Mission Beach Peninsula. This 2nd floor condo boast both ocean & jetty channel views from the private west facing balcony. This unit provides plenty of space for small families or couples looking to vacation in style and have way more space than a typical beach front condo or hotel suite. This unit sleeps a maximum of 6 guest (4 adults max) and provides gated parking for 1 car located on the ground level of the complex. This property also provides an outdoor shower for guest to rinse off after a fun day playing in the sand and Pacific Ocean.

If you like to stay active during your beach vacation this unit will provide you with the perfect home base. The famous Mission Beach boardwalk is just a mere 75 yds away from this complex. Once on the boardwalk you can walk, fun, skate board, or ride bikes for miles on end along the ocean as well as Mission Bay. If water sports are more your style you are literally just a five minute walk from the ocean water (and even closer to Mission Point Beach at Mariners Cove, bay side) were you can enjoy, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, and even kite sailing or surfing. There are also 8-10 city owned volleyball courts just a short walk away to enjoy one of San Diego's beloved beach sports.

If you like the thrills of a roller coaster try Belmont Park for fun, games, and the famous all wood Giant Dipper built in 1925 and recently remodeled. Belmont Park is just up the street at the corner of South Mission Beach Blvd and West Mission Bay Drive. A 10 min bike ride or 20 minute walk on the board walk.

World Class amusement park, Sea World is only a 5 minute drive from the condo. Adults and kids alike will love the live animal exhibits and thrill rides. Stay for the fireworks or take a 5 minute walk from the condo to Mission Point Beach and watch them from there.

Should you be flying in, the San Diego International Airport is only a 20 minute drive from the condo with Uber or Taxi service readily available.

No matter if you want to relax on the beach and read a book, jump in the water and enjoy one of many watersports, or just enjoy the local attractions; you will be glad you chose this Ocean Front Gem as your accommodations and will want to return every year if not multiple times per year!

Our Favorite Place in Mission Beach!

Great accomodations

This is a beautiful condo and a great location. It looks onto the Bay side of the ocean not the beach side, but we found it interesting watching the fishing boats and kayakers going in and out of the bay. It is just a few steps from the actual beach, but a little bit of a walk to actually get to the waves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone

A besutiful property with a fantastic view of the boats going through the channel and out to see. You can also dit and watch the dogs play at the park across the channel or walk to the park just diwn the street. What a wonderful place, and we'll be back

Perfect vacation spot

Joel’s condo was the perfect home base for our family vacation to San Diego. Great beach access and the garage parking space made it easy travel throughout the area via rental car. Inside: Very clean, plenty of space for our family of 3, comfortable beds, good linens, stocked kitchen, washer-dryer meant we could pack less and weren’t swamped with laundry when we got home. Outside: Beautiful patio view, quick walk to the beach, loved the watching the boats traveling in the channel and the dogs across the water on Dog Beach! Would absolutely stay here again!

Great property, access to beach chairs, toys, etc, large space for 1 family, master bed was comfortable as well as murphy bed. Everything worked properly and amazing view of jetty channel as you relax for the night. Steps away to beach or bay, bars, market, and some quick restaurant food. Would definitely rent again.

Everything you need, and a VIEW!

Beautiful, clean, well kept and appointed little condo! Perfect for a couples getaway or as home base for a family beach vacay. My husband and I loved morning coffee on the balcony watching the bay. Lots of yummy, small eat spots on Mission Dr and Belmont Park within walking distance. Will return and highly recommend!

Perfect location and great accommodations!

This property couldn't have been any more perfect for our stay! It is well-maintained with all the necessities. There were extra blankets, pillows, beach towels, and even beach chairs/toys. The onsite parking was extremely helpful. The views are gorgeous- it overlooks the inlet in to the Mission Bay. In less than 5 minute walk you can have your toes in the Pacific Ocean and is close to a lifeguard stand. We definitely would recommend and hope to be back!

VRBO Mission Beach

Nice neighborhood at the south end of Mission Beach. Quieter here although you can walk to the busier parts easily when you want to. Apartment is nicely decorated and furnished. View of the jetty entrance to Mission Bay and the ocean beyond. Just walk around the corner and you're on the beach. Good place to say in the Mission Beach/Pacific Beach area.

Place has a great view and all you need

Lovely property that has a great view of the water. Space has a huge main bedroom, kitchen, dining space and main area. We loved sitting on the patio looking at the water. Upstairs neighbors are quite loud but with a good sound machine, you don’t even notice them while sleeping. Overall great place!

Family San Diego Beach Vacation

Condo was clean, decorated nicely and very well equipped. Fun location near the boardwalk and jetty where we could watch boats and dolphins go by. The walk down to the beach was further than we thought it would be. Joel replied to texts fast especially since we were concerned about Hurricane Hilary! We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing place. The owner responded quickly. Only issue was the dryer kept stopping on us but the owner acknowledged the issue and said he would fix it. He was so sweet and allowed us to leave our unopened food and drinks for the next guest. Will stay here again

Jewel of a place!

What a fantastic property all the way around, in truly the perfect location! We really enjoyed watching the boats and people and sunsets from the balcony, and it was just a hop, skip and a jump to the beautiful shores of the Pacific Ocean. Also a great launching pad to go up the coast or get to the airport. Everything inside the was exceptionally clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. Truly one of the best vacations I’ve had, in large part due to such gracious accommodations. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

The condo was exactly as described. My family of four was very comfortable. The condo was extremely clean. Everything we needed or could have needed was provided. The location was literally perfect. We loved our morning walks getting our coffee and exploring the area.My teenage boys enjoyed themselves very much. We felt very safe and confident to allow them to explore the area on their own. A Beachy Interlude

We are most fortunate to live in Palm Springs as there is magic to the desert, mountains, and evening skies. Summers are hot so trips away are a good break when the heat lasts for a few months as it is this year. We escaped for long weekend to this charming home on Misson Beach in San Diego. The host was perfect as was his property. Swimming, bicycling and exploring great local food was what we wanted and what was delivered We wanted to stay longer but had obligations at home but will absolutely soon head back to the beach. Great Beach Location!!!

The hosts were amazing. Location is fantastic. The beach is so close and beautiful. An easy and quick walk from the property. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching the boats go by and the seals and pelicans fishing in the jetty. Point Loma was a highlight as was Torrey Pines. Beautiful views everywhere you looked. One note on the beaches in San Diego…watch out for the sting rays! Didn’t know you’re supposed to do the “sting ray shuffle” with your feet so they will move away from you. Our son stepped on one and got a pretty nasty sting.

SDSU MOVE IN DAY--RETURNING HOME AS EMPTY NESTERS!

This condo made our bitter-sweet move in at SDSU for our youngest child into an actual vacation. The location was perfect and the views were awesome. We loved being just 15 minutes from SDSU which made it easy to help our son move into his dorm. This location had everything we needed in terms of spectacular views, a mere minute walk to feeling the sand beneath our feet on the beach and a very comfortable interior. The location felt very private, yet everything we needed was within walking distance. Inside the condo, there was everything, from a Keurig, most comfortable mattress, to beach towels, chairs and boogie boards! The balcony was huge and the views of the ocean sunsets and beautiful sailboats and yachts going by were incredible. We had a great time!!

Great Condo Near the Beach

Condo was very nice with a great patio view of the bay that leads right to the ocean. Enjoyed watching all the sailboats and fishing boats go by everyday. Nice to enjoy wine on the patio in the evenings and relax. Even saw seals swimming a couple of days. Condo was very clean upon arrival and has everything that you would need. From the kitchen, bathrooms, plenty of beach towels and some beach chairs, but they were a little worn and uncomfortable. We bought an inexpensive cooler to bring to the beach. We also drove right down the street to beach parking lot as we had a lot to carry and so much easier. Easy access to the unit and great to have private parking garage as parking anywhere is very hard to find. Grocery store close by. Would recommend taking the Ferry over to Coronado, San Diego Zoo, LaJolla. Down the street from condo a very good carryout, Sara's Mexican food. Waterbar on Pacific beach great views of the ocean and very good food. A 15 minute drive, The Shop Pizza and Wine. Overall, would highly recommend vacationing at this condo.

Awesome sunset views!

Well, my trip started out by going sideways. I had been planning to meet up with a friend who was going to be in San Diego for work. I was flying in on Wednesday evening to stay with her and then we would go to the condo together Thursday. While I was on my way to the airport, she texted that she had just tested positive for COVID. I decided to go anyway as I needed a break and getaway. But suddenly I didn’t have a place to stay Wednesday night! Joel came to the rescue. After confirming the condo had been cleaned he quickly set up new access and I was all set! The condo was great! Very clean and decorated with the beach theme seen in the photos. It’s situated right at the very end of Mission Beach Blvd where you can turn left and head to the bay or right and go to the ocean! The condo overlooks the road to the ocean side with a great view across the channel to the dog beach! Of course the sunset views from the balcony were fabulous! Note that due to afternoon sun the balcony can be quite warm late afternoon until sunset. Also note that due to it being so far south, it’s a bit off the beaten path and I would recommend renting a car to get around during your stay as the nearest bus stop is over a mile away. I hope you stay here and enjoy the easy access to the beaches and Joel’s helpful hospitality!

Fantastic Beach Stay

The host message prior to arrival was very thorough, helpful and a must read prior to arrival. The unit is spacious and easily accommodated us two, however, you could have four people as long as you don’t mind sharing a shower. The main bedroom is nicely decorated, has nice sized television, and a wall mounted ac unit. There’s a patio door in this room, but was not disturbed by traffic noise. The mattress in this room is extremely soft. The en-suite bathroom is nice, clean and nicely furnished with linens. The main area is well furnished with plenty of comfortable seating. The television is great and the NFL ticket was a pleasant surprise. The outside wall in this space is all windows and a patio door to take in the wonderful water / beach view. The patio consists of tall chairs and small table big enough for two drinks to sit on and a grill. The road into the beach parking lot passes by the patio, but was not loud nor obnoxious. The kitchen is updated and nice. The refrigerator was large and a bonus was the ice maker in freezer drawer. That’s all we really used will while staying in the unit The side entrance to the beach is handy and a short walk to the sand. The remote control for garage access was nice to have access to. When pulling out of the garage you pull up to door and automatically opens. There’s a liquor and grocery store just down the street. We would definitely rent this unit again if ever back in the area.
