Lovely two bedroom, one bath ground floor condo half block from bay, 1 block to ocean with spacious flowing floor plan and a large private front patio, huge bedroom with two queen beds, second bedroom with one queen bed, and a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Full bath with tub shower. Features a rear covered carport 84" Height x 21' Deep, Granite counter in the kitchen with tile bathroom and PVC flooring throughout.

This Duplex is two blocks from Belmont Park (Mission Beach Amusement Park): indoor olympic size pool and , jacuzzi, and health club. Great for every age: Roller coaster, bumper cars, rides, jungle gym, glow in the dark miniature golf, etc. Lots of restaurants and shops steps away and miles of boardwalk for strolling, biking, and blading.

Extremely close to all restaurants, shops, bike rentals, surfboard rentals, para sailing, jet skis, etc.

Walking distance to Shops, Restaurants, Market, Bars/Pubs. Drive 5 minutes to Seaworld, 10 minutes from Gaslamp/Downtown, Petco Park, Qualcomm Stadium

Great location

The property was exactly as described. It was hard to find the street in the dark. We got in late at night. Location was great. right next to a Starbucks and other restaurants. One block to the beach. There were 3 beach chairs and 1 umbrella. Several box fans were nice. Beds were comfortable. Nice large patio.

No air-conditioning sucked

Neighbors upstairs were loud, amazing location, lack of air conditioning was terrible. All the stuff was outdated in the bedrooms. The outside patio had bricks that really need to be leveled, make sure you don't trip.

Comfortable and Convenient

Our family of 6 had a great stay at this property and loved the location that was a very short walk to the beach, shops, and Belmont Park in Mission Beach. We found the property owners very friendly, responsive, and good at communicating necessary info. All was as expected. As a previous guest mentioned, there are units available directly on the boardwalk that may be a bit more upscale, but we were looking for a comfortable but budget-friendly alternative for a family, and this met those expectations completely. We used the laundry and had no problem with that. We did notice a couple of minor maintenance issues and that the decorative style looks like "a little of this, a little of that" with some older things thrown together, but it was clean and very comfortable with a location that worked well for our family. We enjoyed a great stay to Mission Beach.

Not what I would call a "Lovely" Vacation Getaway

This is definitely not a lovely duplex. Please update your property description! It is a shame the property owners have not taken a closer look at their investment. This unit (I can only speak for the lower unit because that is where I stayed) is in need of desperate repairs. The kitchen area is small. The refrigerator is for a studio unit not a two bedroom unit, especially if you plan to stay for a couple of weeks. The cupboards don't shut, and the dishwasher will not open all of the way unless you push the dishwasher door against the stove and push it down. This is your only choice if you want to do dishes. It should not be opened by force! Terrible, especially when you are a very conscientious person and want to take care of things. The shower ceiling leaked and it was gross. What an experience! It is very obvious the ceiling leaked before and was repaired, but obviously not repaired well or there is an issue that needs to be permanently taken care of. The ceiling was repaired during out stay, but poorly handled and left for the next tenants to deal with. Not cool! Oh yes, please replace the cheap plastic/vinyl shower curtain. It was dirty and stunk like mildew. The screen door to the front always jams. The Property Management Team fixed it once, but we ended up greasing it several times so it wouldn't stick. Otherwise, you are afraid it's going to break if pulled too hard. There is a washer and dryer with the unit and part of the rental package. However, it is shared with the upper unit. That isn't too bad when you work together to share the machines. What is totally unacceptable is when the upper unit tenants check out, and tenants from another unit managed by the same property management team utilize the machines and throw wash in and out of the washer and dryer when you have your own clothes already being cleaned. It's unsanitary and during these times, in my opinion totally unacceptable. If this is how they handle sanitizing the towels, sheets, blankets prior to check-in you are not really getting clean and sanitized linens. In closing, this unit will not be rented by my family again. We have stayed at Mission Beach for years and haven't had an experience quite like this before. Please choose wisely. There are many other Mission Beach properties that are well taken care of and make you feel at home. A vacation get-away should be exactly that. A time for relaxation and no worries. Good Luck!
