  • You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located quaint casita. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the sunny back porch before you head out to explore all that Monterey County has to offer, or go for a stroll to the nearby old town where you will find a large variety of dining options within walking distance of the National Steinbeck Center. Unwind from your day in the newly landscaped backyard with plenty of space for outdoor quality time together under the ambiance of the open veranda.
    The space
    We have 3 bedrooms and 3 Beds, we can accommodate comfortably 6 adults, 1 child 1 Infant a 7th adult could possibly sleep on the sofa. If you can please let us know so we leave extra sheets and blankets.
    Guest access
    Guest will have access to the entire house, except the supply closet next to the bathroom and the storage room in the backyard.

Sunny, comfortable casita

The description of the house is exactly as stated. It is well-appointed. The beds are comfortable and attention to detail make you feel comfortable the minute you walk in. The sunny covered patio seating is a bonus. The casita was just right for our stay.

Great Place

Everything was clean and tidy. We even had a diagram on where to place the clean plates. The backyard light show was a cool touch. We enjoyed dinner out back on the table. We'd love to stay here again

Great Place Near Sea Otter

We rented this place for the Sea Otter Bike Expo and Race and it was perfect for our group of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). Clean, easy, great back porch and nice garage to store bikes and gear .Thank you

Super clean and super cozy

Graciela was a very responsive host. We have been on a three week road trip and this was the cleanest and neatest property we stayed at. The back yard is very pretty too. We were 6 adults and it was a little tight in the kitchen for all of us but being able to pour out into the back yard was lovely. Salinas was a very convenient town and close to Monterey and Carmel. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and comfortable

We spent two nights here as a family while visiting the area in March of 2025. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, close to a grocery store and restaurants. Easy drive to Monterey or other nearby areas in the Salinas valley. Although the house itself is small (a “casita” after all) the 3 bedrooms are surprisingly large and even have closets (plus one has a half bath). The backyard is enchanting and relaxing. Grace is an excellent and thoughtful host and everything was in order when we arrived. Everything was as described and the house was clean and neat. We would definitely stay here again!

This Salinas location was great! My friends and I were back in our hometown for a get together and this was a great, central location. The three bedrooms were spacious. The unit was clean, and we had everything we needed. We didn't use the home to cook much, as we went out for meals, but the backyard was beautiful for sitting and catching up with each other. I would definitely rent this home again. The host was responsive and communicative. I can tell the unit is loved and well maintained. :)

Owner was very responsive and accommodated an earlier check in which was appreciated. Check in was straight forward. House was clean and tidy, spacious with a garden that the kids enjoyed and comfy beds.Shower pressure was weak but overall we enjoyed the house and would recommend. Great location to enjoy the full range of the monterey Bay Area as well as local shops, although the house is well stocked with amenities

Our party of three enjoyed a very pleasant weekend stay. Host Grace was very responsive to our questions. Both the exterior and interior of the property were well-maintained. All rooms were very clean, tidy and comfortably furnished. The backyard area is attractively landscaped and invites quiet relaxation. A minor quibble is the whole front sidewalk is the type with rounded curb and gutter — without a sloping driveway — making off-street parking awkward for vehicles with low road clearance.

Adult family stay

The cottage was just right for our overnight stay in Salinas, as we traveled from Monterey to Gilroy. There is only 1 full bathroom, hall bathroom. The master bedroom only has a half bathroom. The kitchen is small, making it tight eating at the table with 4 adults. Front porch steps (3) might be an accessibility issue for some individuals.
