Salamander Sweet - Foreshore Drive

One of the original cottages on the foreshore of Salamander Bay, this holiday home is an absolute cutey!
Don't let the old fashioned exterior fool you, because the inside styling belongs in the pages of Vogue Magazine.

Pet Friendly, air conditioned, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi, covered entertaining area, coffee machine, gorgeous little kitchen, the list goes on. The attention to detail for your comfort is endless and the owners have thought of everything to ensure you have a cosy and wonderful time.

2 bedroom, 1 bathroom (with a 2nd toilet) and perfect for 2 couples or a small family. Theres even a hot and cold outdoor shower to wash off after a swim at the beach.

This cottage is a 1 minute stroll across the road to the waters edge, a 4 minute drive to Bannisters and only 2 minutes to Wanda Shopping Village with various cafe's, restaurants and takeaway options.

If the calm and serenity gets all too much, 8 mins drive will see you in the hustle and bustle of Nelson Bay Town Centre, Marina and all activities.

2 Min to Beach

The property was really lovely for a couple with a pooch. Small back yard with grass and outdoor furniture and an undercover entertaining area which was perfect for the hot evenings. Everything we needed was at our fingertips and the walk to local shops was 15 mins and walk to beach was 2 min. Perfect travel location to other parts of Port Stephens.

Cosy house and a peaceful neighbourhood

The neighbourhood was peaceful and close to the beach. The house had everything we needed to feel at home. It was comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and perfect for me and my daughter. Our experience in this place was pleasant; we regretted not staying longer. I highly recommend it!

Underwelming

Needs some love and a good clean no supplies even salt and pepper empty - shower curtain was torn in places mildew in the towels basket hairs embedded in the coach Tupperware had no lids except for one that was dirty no instructions for any appliances no welcome information on the area. I think just badly managed sorry but won’t stay there again also they need a new bbq

Worked for a short stay

Overall everything was fine and manageable. Location was a bit tricky with a dip as you come off the drive way that scraps the bottom and right on a corner into traffic. Internals were good, kitchen is well set up. Outside was not quite as dog friendly as expected, the back yard is weed and dirt with direct access under the house and out of reach unless I wanted to go crawling in there. Surprisingly noisy at night with traffic on the road in close proximity. Ear plugs in a welcome pack for guests might be appreciated.

Small but sweet

The check in process was easy and dealing with Bay Realty was great. The place was fine, it was small, I think 3 adults would’ve been too squishy. The grass had been recently laid and yard had been recently done so the watering system was on every night from 10pm and the sprinkler water kept hitting the windows which was annoying and made it sound like it was raining and we couldn’t let the dog out in the front or back yard from 10pm-5am each day which wasn’t good. There were pieces of hair on the beds and cushions when we arrived which wasn’t pleasant but otherwise the place was clean. They didn’t have a rolling pin which we needed in the kitchen but other than that there was everything we needed. The carport courtyard was nice to sit out in every morning and listen to the ocean. The fans and aircon was much appreciated during the hot summer days as the inside of the house heats up being an old fibro place that’s been renovated inside. Pillows and beds were comfy. Overall was good and would recommend but probably wouldn’t stay again.
