"I am a bit biased as this chateau was the home of one of my ancestors in the 16th century. I took my 85 year old father there with other members of our family for about a week. It was an excellent base for our side trips to Poitiers, Tours and La Rochelle. In several rooms, here are copies of a well researched book (in French) telling the amazing history of the chateau. Great refresh
"Excellent restaurant which was a pleasant surprise, nice grounds to exercise the dog only small quibble was €30 charge per night for dog to stay which appears to have shot up since Covid🤔. Very close to motorway network so straight back onto to journey following morning. "
