Novotel Lombok Resort and Villas

8/10 Good

"It was lovely, quiet. Peaceful, very relaxing. Food was Ok, could have more options."

Sima Hotel Kuta Lombok

8/10 Good

"The rooms are a good size, the sink and shower was full of mould which was unpleasant. When I told management they didn’t offer to change my room. They tried to clean the mould but it didn’t help so I asked again and this time they changed the seals. The staff were amazing, friendly, warm and made the effort to make my stay amazing. Great location in the heart of Kuta"

Batatu Resort - Adults Only

10/10 Excellent

"The accommodation and facilities, along with the very helpful staff was excellent. We stayed at the venue for 5 days in total and can honestly say we would stay there again and again. The roon with its private pool and ouside shower / bathroom was exactly as described. There was a wedding next door to the hotel which was an interesting addition, which although loud celebrations, was something we are unlikely to experience again, and we were also welocomed by the locals with open arms. The venue was around a 10 minute scooter ride from Kuta, but this was not an issue for us, and the venue had a shuttle service for guests. Food was excellent, order everything, including room service requirements via WhatsApp and it us done, easy. We were also very close to the Mandalika Race Circuit, where we managed to ride around on our scooter. We could not ask for more, the staff would help you with anything you wanted, even arranging airport transfers and onwards travel."

Origin Lombok

10/10 Excellent

"Hotel Origin was a really great place to stay.We had a couple rooms overlooking the pool which was lovely. The room was spacious and included the shower and toilet.Breakfast is included with a variety of pastries, toast, pancakes,French toast as well as eggs of your choice will be cooked for you.Indonesian food is also available for breakfast such as chicken and rice etc The staff are delightful, so friendly and very accommodating. We would often stop and chat with them during the day .The only negative was after our rooms were cleaned they smelt of body odour which tended to linger ."

Somewhere Lombok

10/10 Excellent

"Somewhere was the perfect four night stay at the end of our honeymoon. It’s quite boutique, so peaceful and the panoramic setting is quite unique and special. The architecture, fit and finish is well considered and everything felt curated to perfection. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the whole experience felt personal. The curated menu offers just the right variety, as well as being some of the best food we’ve experienced in Indonesia. Compliments to the chef, particularly for the beef rendang, lobster special, vegetable fritters and the tuna open sandwich. The small bar area is a great place to hang out and the cocktails and craft beers are excellent. The head barman, ‘Rakka’ was great and became a friendly face during our stay. The location is over a secluded bay about 15 minutes from the centre of Kuta. The hotel offers a regular shuttle and sorted a scooter rental for us, which was added to the bill. We’re sad to be leaving, but hope to be back. I can see this place becoming a home from home."

Amber Lombok Beach Resort

10/10 Excellent

"We had such a wonderful stay here. We booked the beachfront suite and it was stunning! The bed faces straight out the window, overlooking the beach. The amenities in the room were great and the day bed in the outside area of the room was just brilliant! The staff are all lovely and so helpful and the massages at the spa are incredibly relaxing. The food in the restaurant was all delicious. The hotel is in a remote location so there isn't much around it but perfect for switching off and relaxing."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Sade Traditional Weaving Village?

The best time to visit Sade Traditional Weaving Village is during the dry season, which runs from May to September.

During these months, you'll experience sunny days and lower humidity, making it much more comfortable to explore the village and its surroundings. The pathways within the village, which are often unpaved, will be dry and easy to navigate, allowing you to comfortably observe the traditional weaving process and the unique Sasak architecture.

This period is particularly good for families as the pleasant weather allows children to roam freely and enjoy the open-air environment without the discomfort of rain or excessive heat. You can take your time browsing the handcrafted textiles and perhaps even try a weaving demonstration.

For couples, the dry season offers ideal conditions for a relaxed visit, allowing you to appreciate the cultural heritage and craftsmanship at a leisurely pace.
