Oast House with 6 round rooms in the Brede Valley
Hare Farm Oast is a very special place to stay. The large unique farm building has been converted and finished to a very high standard as a contemporary holiday home. It occupies a prime position in an unspoilt setting with its own half acre plot and extensive far reaching views across the Brede Valley. We have carefully breathed new life back into the old oast with its three roundels, originally used for drying and storing hops. Using traditional craftsmanship and materials in its renovation, the oast showcases its unique heritage and beauty, whilst providing understated style and comfort to those who stay there.

30th Birthday celebrations
Just returned after a long weekend celebrating our daughter’s 30th birthday. We were a party of 9 adults and 3 small children. The house was cosy and plenty big enough for us all. Happily stay there again, although we had to be super vigilant at all times as our grandson is only a year old and already walking, so the stairs and the fireplace were very hazardous to him. I would definitely recommend with older children. We were shown around the lambing sheds by Annie and saw some lambs being born. A visit to the Red Lion is a must. All in all a great time, Joanna was very helpful in the run up to our stay and during.

Superb accommodation in an idyllic location
A perfect base for a three generation family holiday. The Oast was delightful and immediately felt like home. Tasteful décor and lovely open spaces with views of the valley. Plenty to do in the area and a great pub, The Red Lion, in the village.

Lovely Relaxing Weekend
Property worked well for a large family group of 10.
Bedding was lovely and we had good communication with owner and their family who live next door who were on hand to help with any issues. There was a great outdoor space where we had family games.
If we were to make any suggestions it would be for an extra 2 garden chairs to save bringing out indoor ones and the small sofa bed to be replaced as it was very uncomfortable for sitting on. But otherwise all good thank you 😊

Wonderful property
A wonderful property, exactly as described, and with beautiful views. Very peaceful and private, and it worked very well for our extended family, particularly the large open plan space, and none of the bedrooms disappointing. We will be back!

A perfect spot for a family break.
We hired the Oast for a family get-together to celebrate a significant birthday. It was absolutely ideal, with good sized bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms (the showers in particular are worth a mention). The private garden was perfect for relaxing, with the sights and sounds (baa!) of the adjacent sheep farm. It’s a short drive to the seaside or into the countryside for walks. I would delighted to recommend it.
