"Love the view of the park for the continental breakfast. Should be a light switch (and not just the fan switch) at the front door, and the door should be self-locking - we almost left the room unlocked, not knowing we had to turn the knob."

"The Hideaway was a beautiful place to stay. Very roomy, full kitchen, a pool table, and many books and puzzles--something for everyone. We found it to be quiet and serene. Enjoyed a hike through the property and especially sitting on the front porch. We were happy there was a garage. Where we live, afternoon rain is often accompanied by rain. Would definitely stay here again."

"Cabin has everything you need for a great stay. Mike and Shari live on property which makes it easy to get items resolved and secure local information, if you desire it. Shari makes a mean zucchini bread and Mike bravely removed a hornets nest off the deck. Stairs to the bedroom are very steep and folks with limited mobility should seek other accommodations. I recommend the following - Skyline Drive (3 mile drive on crest of mountain overlooking Cañon City; no guardrails), Old Tunnel Trail, Harding on Main, Pizza Madness and Fremont Provisions. I hope everybody enjoys their stay as much as we did."

"Early check-in was appreciated due to an upset stomach…needed to lay down. Nicely upgraded for an older property. Liked the back patio area and plenty of room to walk the dog beyond. "

The continental breakfast provided a wide selection and service was the best I’ve ever experienced. The staff were great at recommended trails, interesting spots to visit, and restaurants to try."
