"Okay I will be honest the property is old and has a musty smell, but I expected it because it's old, however it is clean. The carpet was stained so definitely wear socks or slippers but it wasn't dirty. The bed was very comfortable and that's all I care about because when you are on vacation you really only use it to sleep anyway. The view was beautiful and every room has a marina view. The staff was professional and very helpful. We felt safe even though at first sight we were a little nervous. Fun fact is if you are going to Astoria for a Goonies adventure, the crew and actors actually stayed at this property while filming the movie and I thought that was so cool."

"The Coastal Inn and Suites was a comfortable place to stay. Inside the rooms were clean and nicely renovated It had very thin walls. And we were on oceanside rooms which also meant main road through Long Beach. It didn't bother me but my husband had a hard time sleeping with the road noises. It was a good location for going to pubs and dining. It was October so many businesses didn't open during the week."

"Solid choice for the price point. Breakfast was good, pool was clean and warm, room clean, looks like they are starting to renovate as it is an older hotel. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, my husband said,”bed is rocks” in his sleep. We would stay again."

"The location was extremely close to everything in walking distance. The staff were really nice. Breakfast nothing special, just your regular American fixings. The bed was so comfortable, and the bathroom clean. My only problem was the A/C making so much noise. We came during a heatwave, and I had to use my earplugs to sleep with that noise. Hopefully heating system is more quiet for those traveling in winter. The bonus was the rooftop terrace. Nobody was up there when I went and enjoyed the panoramic views of the city while relaxing in a chaise-long."
