"The rooms were clean, the pool was sublime, the facilities had complete kitchen and fridge as well as washer and dishwasher. We booked a superior room and they had prepared the sofa bed for our child too. The breakfast was amazing as well as security was top notch. I wished we had known about the wine tasting as that would have been perfect if we didn’t have to venture out to Franschoek or other parts of Stellenbosch. Also the views of the mountains and golf course was just breathtaking. Highly recommended. "

"Previous reviews vary and it is fair to say the property is fairly dated and could do with some work, HOWEVER, the charm of the property and the exceptional service make up for this and more. We are well travelled and have stayed in some exceptional hotels around the world but the friendliness and especially the service was as good as any. After booking our three night stay, i asked if they could book a nice restaurant for our first night and albeit a busy friday they booked a table at the fat butcher which was excellent. They also provisionally booked restaurants for our other two nights, as a fallback. They recommended and then booked for us a superb private wine tasting with lunch. Although it is not particularly central in Stellenbosh, we found Uber no problem and cheap, except on one occasion when we found it difficult, however after a call from the restaurant, the hotel picked us up at no charge.. Even at breafast when i asked for something they didnt have, without asking someone went to the local shop and got it for me.. As I said,, the service was excellent. A really nice experience, the hotel itself not 5 star,, however the service was more than that and we would have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending it.. Thanks guys."
