"We chose the Filly Inn after reading through previous reviews, it did not disappoint! Great service, great food, great drinks, great room. We stayed for one night the rooms come with everything you could need and more! The menu has such a great selection, so good it makes it hard to decide and makes you want to stay longer! The breakfast was top class as well! Such friendly staff too made it a perfect stay and would 100% go back "

"The bedroom was ok, but bathroom left a lot to be desired, less than a third of a toilet roll no spare, no glasses glass or plastic to clean your teeth, bath panel cracked, toilet needs a lot of bleach in it for it to be clean, soap dispenser in shower not working. Had a shower went from nice warm water to cold. Bed was comfortable and nice white towels. Room 4 right above the bar can be noisy would we stay again? No."

"Pretty and quiet cottage conveniently placed off Amesbury high street. Large ensuite double room with king-size bed, tv and a delightful breakfast bag full of goodies which was more than adequate including 2 bottles of water and cartons of fruit juice."

"When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. It was a very unfortunate situation. We are from the USA and found out upon arrival in England that our cell phones were not working properly so...

"The only possible complaint would be that we had to wait an hour after we had ordered food before it appeared. The food itself was excellent. Reserved named parking spaces for residents most helpful,. Very welcoming staff. "

"Fantastic place. Lucky enough to find The Fox after being let down by The Running Horse and were delighted. All the staff particularly Annie & Liz (at breakfast hope I got the right name) were absolutely brilliant. The room was superb - huge, every possible convenience & spotlessly clean. Both bedroom & bathroom beautifully decorated; great bath & shower. Sadly didn’t have dinner as had reservations elsewhere but judging by breakfast it would have been very good. "This property was spotless and well equipped. It is a bit ‘off the beaten track’, but in a lovely location and within walking distance of an excellent village shop. There is another property adjoining this one. The provision of a swimming pool enhanced this property greatly. Although we only met the host, Helen, twice she was most pleasant and helpful. Would certainly recommend this accommodation if one is looking for peace and solitude and yet it is only about 5 miles from Romsey."
