The room style and cleanliness, and the location were highlights of this hotel, which I had known based on my prior research and the description of others was accurate. However, if you have an adjoining room, you can hear everything coming from that room--television, full on conversations, etc. The other downside is that the hotel does not provide the typical creature-comforts of U.S. based hotels--no luggage service; no slippers/robe, no central lobby. It reminded me of an Air BNB or a stay at someone's home.

We had a fabulous 4 night stay at Palazzo Caruso and the reception staff were all helpful and friendly during our stay. We had a beautiful suite, the bed was huge, very comfortable and we had an amazing view of the Titon Fountain! The shower was really powerful and there was lovely shampoo, conditioner and shower wash in addition to liquid soap and body lotion. Hotel decor was lovely and the original ceiling beams were beautifully decorated, which particularly appealed to me. Breakfast was great and could be taken on the small rooftop terrace, though we chose to stay indoors in the heat! Piero, our breakfast host, was chatty and informative and freshly prepared omelettes and scrambled eggs, to accompany the 'continental breakfast', in addition to making all sorts of delicious cakes. Hotel location was cenoral to many of Romes amazing places of interest and was perfect for us, as we love to walk between sites, but also be close to the metro. We are looking forward to staying at Palazzo Caruso again next year and would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel and would recommend it as a great base for exploring Rome. A particular thank you to Peter who looked after us at breakfast. He cooked amazing food and was extremely polite, chatty and helpful. The balcony for breakfast is a real treat.

Palazzo Caruso was a very chic, boutique hotel in central Rome. It was 5 minutes to Piazza Spagna and many other historical sites. Because it was my birthday they upgraded us to a suite for free. Lovely place feeling homey, elegant, comfortable. Thank you!

Great hotel

Good hotel to stay at

We enjoyed how central this hotel was and the staff was very friendly. There was a light in the room that we couldn't figure out how to turn off and the shower door leaked water on the floor when used. Big spacious rooms and very quite so would stay here again.

From the moment we entered the Palazzo, we had such a personal experience with the staff and the accommodations. Notably, John and Luisa went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and made us feel safe in a city we were unfamiliar with and weren’t sure of how to navigate. Top notch stellar service and hospitality. The Palazzo was in a central location, with metro, subway, taxi right outside the door as well as restaurants, bars, shopping, easily accessible in a short walking distance. Rome without tourists

Nicola and Luisa were great hosts and we wanted for nothing. The hotel is located in a great spot, no tourists, and reasonable distance to everything you would need to see. Because I am currently dealing with crutches everything was a 10 euro cab ride. If you are in search of food you can still get to the Tucci and Bourdain places for above cab fare. Do not miss Osteria Berberini around the corner, fantastic restaurant right under our nose and we did not find until last night.

The property is well-located and the rooms are spacious. The WiFi is scattered and poorly set up. The staff (particularly the manager) do not have a good grasp of hospitality principles and sometimes they are plainly rude. The beds are not extremely comfortable.

For our one-week stay in Rome, we booked a suite for our family of four that included two bedrooms and a spacious common living area with view of the relatively quiet Piazza Barberini. The central location made it easy to tour the Colosseum, stop back at the hotel to freshen up, and then move onto the next activity. Because of its size, the hotel almost has the feel of a bed and breakfast. A special shout out goes to Pietro, the gentleman in charge of breakfast in the morning and happy hour in the evening. He is an absolute gem, super warm and welcoming, and his fresh baked goods are delicious. When he heard we are vegetarian, he had a freshly baked vegetarian quiche for us the next morning.
