I stayed here for 4 nights, location was good close to train station, about 20 min walk yo Trevi fountain, the bed was not comfortable, the toilet had issues with flushing. Looks like they have started upgrading a little but needs lots of work. The door was hard to close, had to slam it to close.

The staff were very kind and helpful and the European Breakfast on the ground floor restaurant was excellent. While the location of the hotel was convenient for its close proximity to the train station, the room was quite small.

We had very good stay at this hotel. Yes , it can be litter bigger room and bathroom, but it was enough to get rest after long walks in Rome. Breakfast was great and cocktails afternoon are awesome. Location is nice, close to Termini station and metro . But the best part is people who work there. Lili and Patricia are so great, they helped us with all our trip , taxi etc booking. And lovely Ladies in general

The accessibility was the only nice thing about this hotel. The room was quite noisy. The building was old and I think it has not been renovated since early 80s. This place was not a 3 star hotel by any definition. It’s not recommended.

35 degrees and no AC

The air conditioning didn’t work and it was 35 degrees Celsius. When I let the staff know, they said there were no other rooms available and they didn’t even offer to take a look. The internet connection stopped working in the evening and got back to normal only in the morning. I’m never staying here again!

It was a great stay for the price. It was clean and the shower was strong with hot water. Patricia and Lilly spoke adequate English. The coffee and breakfast was really expensive so be prepared to pay extra for coffee and food when you are in Rome. Also, make sure you get different prices for your exchange for Euros while in Rome. I would recommend you to buy your EUROS in the United States to pay for the taxi etc once you arrive in Italy. We got played at FUMINCINO airport- 137 EUROS for $200 American dollars!!! Beware! We also got played by a supposed taxi. We learned that a real taxi rate from FUMINCINO to Rome should cost 50 EUROS not 65 Euros. Beware of people approaching you for rides. The taxi should have the rate posted on the door side of the taxi.

Well priced charmer near Rome rail station!

Hotel Maryelen was a charming traditional European Hotel well located in Rome near Termini Rail Station, many historical attractions, and plentiful dining! It was very much as represented on the hotels.com web site. It was certainly not a luxury hotel but was very clean and had good water pressure and temperature. Because the building stays cool I did not need to turn on the available air conditioning. The lobby and reception area are very small but quite attractive. American guests will find the old fashion room keys surprising but they are easy to use. The lobby is locked at night but there is an alternate door for guests to use to come and go whenever they wish. The area is very historic and within a block or two guests will find exceptional tourist attractions. The large railway station is just a five minute walk away. It is a very old section of the city and visitors should be aware of that. The hotel does have a small elevator that works reasonably well. The entire set up would seem unusual to North American guests, as there are just a few rooms on each floor. A gloomy back staircase up goes around the central elevator shaft and is probably the least attractive part of the hotel. I thought the hotel was well priced and I would stay there again. The staff spoke quite good English, and were very helpful. The room windows opened which was nice.😇

Leider ein sehr enttäuschender Aufenthalt – nicht empfehlenswert Das Hotel liegt zwar praktisch in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, aber das war leider auch schon der einzige Pluspunkt. • Unser Zimmer war unsauber: Staub und Haare auf dem Boden, Möbel wirkten ungepflegt. • Wir hatten nach der Übernachtung starken Juckreiz und Hautreaktionen, was auf mögliche Milben oder andere Hygieneprobleme hindeutet. • Das Bad war sehr schmutzig und außerdem so eng, dass es kaum nutzbar war. • Trotz angeblicher täglicher Reinigung blieb das Zimmer unhygienisch und die Bettwäsche wurde während unseres Aufenthalts nie gewechselt. Für ein Hotel in dieser Lage und Preisklasse ist das absolut enttäuschend. Ich würde hier nicht noch einmal übernachten und kann es leider nicht empfehlen.

Walking distance to train terminal and local shops and decent restaurants. The rooms are close to one another therefore can get very noisy depending on other guests. The mattresses are two single beds combined together to make a double which can be uncomfortable. Overall okay
