There’s a taxi stand right across the street, which was great, especially because this property won’t order you a taxi since they offer their own shuttle for hire (70 for airport drop off vs a taxi which is 50). The area is pretty good, right across from Santa Maria Maggiore, and walkable to the Colosseum. A bit longer walk to Trevi and the other sites and a drive to the Vatican. The self check in was mostly painless and the WhatsApp help was super friendly and quick to respond. We had a hard time figuring out how to get in the doors downstairs before we checked in, and the water was hit or miss for temperature like we were competing with the building so not always hot showers. Also a couple odd, random steps that I still ended up tripping on even knowing they were there, but overall a solid stay.

My wife and I recently stayed at Domus Liberius and had an average experience. The location is excellent, just a 5-10 minute walk from the main train station and surrounded by good restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets, though tourist traps are nearby. Access is a hassle with multiple key-fobbed doors that close quickly, and the slow lift to the third floor. Communication with the owners via WhatsApp was good, but the hotel operates more like bedsit rooms with no 24-hour reception, so extra items like towels or toilet paper require waiting until the next day. Facilities are basic: no in-room kettle, just a shared one in the foyer with limited supplies, and no milk. The rooms show wear and tear, and the bathrooms need a deep clean and reseal due to mould. We also heard a scuffling noise resembling a mouse or rat one night. The rooms have high ceilings but small windows, limiting natural light. While the view of the nearby church is nice, there's typical road noise. Overall, the hotel feels overpriced for what it offers. There are better options nearby unless improvements are made.

Pre-arrival contact via WhatsApp made check in quick and easy, and videos to help find the building entrance were helpful. The room was spacious with a comfortable large bed, and air conditioning was easy to control. The room was kept spotlessly clean. Most main tourist attractions are walkable (within about 20 minutes), there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and the train station was a 10 minute walk away. Thank you for a fantastic stay!
