"I have stayed at the Ipanema Inn since 1982, I have seen it go from a simple low cost hotel to what I consider now a very nice modern hotel. This hotel is cozy, the rooms are not big, but they are very comfortable, modern, and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom has everything from cleanliness to a modern style. The staff is the best, and down in the lobby you have a restaurant and a full bar. I highly recommend this hotel to the traveler who is looking for a clean, safe, friendly family style hotel without bankrupting your wallet. Great place I will always stay there. "

"Che lagarto was very good stay for the price and the prime location near the beach and 2 party hostels. I had to change rooms but no big deal.. The bed was comfy, the bathrooms were fairly clean but I think they could be cleaner. Erika was really nice and caring volunteer, she made an amazing breakfast buffet for the morning. I only stayed one night but I would recommend this hostel anytime. "
