The property is located atop the hill in the favelas of Vidigal. The locals are welcoming and they have everything you require up there for a steep walk or motorbike taxi. They also provide a bus if you have luggage. A way of life in different perspective. Bar, restaurant, DJ with a view! Watching the sun rise over Rio from bed give it a try

Beautiful hotel in a VERY bad area. Do not stay!

The hotel was in favella. A ghetto a very poor area. It seemed dangerous. I even saw a local pull out a gun while riding the volkswagon van you have to take up and down the mountain. Not a place i would recommend for tourists. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was so friendly. I feel bad giving them a bad review. However safety is ultimately the most important thing for a traveler. I booked this hotel quickly looking at the photos and it had positive star ratings. I don't want anyone else to be misguided. This is the first review I've ever written because i really felt so disceived. You'll see my photos looking in one direction then looking in the other direction.

Fiz uma reserva na suíte presidencial do hotel e realmente a vista é deslumbrante, a cama é bem gostosa, banheiro com ducha forte, café da manhã bem gostoso. Mas a experiência foi extremamente desagradável a noite por conta do barulho ensurdecedor dos bailes funks nos arredores e também no bar do Avrao! É impossível dormir e descansar no quarto! Não recomendo fazerem reservas aos finais de semana!

Comunicação falha

A reserva era pra comemorar um aniversário. Recebemos um post informativo com algumas especificações, uma delas era a cortesia de uma caipirinha, no qual foi confirmado que como éramos hóspedes do hotel não haveria necessidade de um novo cadastro. A noite quando estávamos no bar, solicitamos a cortesia e por mais de 3 vezes o garçom ficou de verificar a informação e não nos deu retorno. Desistimos do drink e seguimos a noite. Ressalto que a estadia foi muito agradável, vale super a pena a experiência porém na parte do bar espera um atendimento mais atencioso.

Olá! Aluguei a suíte presidencial para comemorar meu aniversário, por causa da vista, mas quando cheguei perto do hotel, tinha 4 caras com fuzil na mão, quase morri do coração, ficamos presos no quarto, porque tenho medo e a noite subimos para o restaurante para jantar e tinha um cara lá embaixo com um fuzil apontando para mim. Não consegui dormir direito pensando que podia acontecer algo ruim, mas a vista é realmente muito bonita. Sobre o quarto, o ar condicionado estava pingando e inundou o quarto! Infelizmente pagamos muito caro por isso tudo é não sai satisfeita.

O lugar é lindo, indico a estadia. Boa comida ,preço médio , bebidas de valores zona sul padrão. Na saída tive um problema, a funcionária alegou que eu havia consumido uma cerveja da qual não consumi. Desde então ela fechou o semblante e não olhou mais para mim. Ponto muito negativo. Fora isso, foi tudo ok.

They weren't even particularily mean to me. Likely because this appears to be a money laundering operationg in an extremly dangerous slum in Rio. I would seriously reccommend taking it down from your site as you should not be providing an outlet for people to stay there. There are legitimately civilians with machine guns openly walking around in the area.

Reservei o quarto pra comemorar o natal e aniversario de namoro. queria mesmo o quarto deluxe mas o bolso nao tava cheio suficiente pra isso entao acabei pegando o superior ocean view. fiquei com MUITO medo de nao ser um quarto bom com uma vista legal pois pelas fotos nao era a la essas coisas. confesso que me supreendi muito, o quarto é muito bom, a vista é muito boa e tudo deu super certo. tem uma varanda imensa, diferente do q as fotos parecem, so faltou uma mesinha pra comer um cafe da manha vendo aquela vista. foi uma noite literalmente perfeita. recomendo para todos! subi o vidigal tranquilamente de mototaxi, sozinha. entao nao tem o que se preocupar com isso. tem um restaurante, mas fecha cedo. e o cafe da manha é simples porém muito gostoso. eu voltaria com certeza!
