"Room was clean staff we’re really friendly and happy to help , there was parking available the hotel was right in the centre of Richmond so lots of shops restaurants and pubs on the door step , the food was lovely and we had no issues at all with our stay and would return "

"The hotel is very dated and needs decorating. Our shower hardly worked as the water just dripped out. The bed was comfy and the bedding and towels were lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. The downstairs bars were cluttered with things and needed a good clear out, this made it not very inviting to have a drink. The hotel is in an ideal place in the centre of town which was ideal for what we wanted. "

"Hotel is welcoming of pets but dog friendly rooms are on the second floor or above and there's no lift so it's a trek during the night to take your dog downstairs to do it's business."

"The property is very old and full of character. With that comes as expected, lots of steps/stairs and uneven floors. Our room was a little cramped but pleasant, and the breakfast was lovely. The location is great - a couple of minutes walk from the castle and river, and right in the quaint town centre. Parking is limited outside the property but we managed to get the last one."

"Absolutely loved our stay at this Richmond cottage. It has the most amazing view of the village of Richmond including the Castle and the Falls. The hosts were great, provided a nice welcoming basket and there was lots of local travel information on the coffee table. It was nice that the all the rooms were on one floor - and the wash room with a tumble dryer was a great feature.The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom with a large tub and separate shower was great. There is a separate toilet room by the wash room, so another nice feature. We ate most dinners in, and found the kitchen to be stocked with the basics (salt, pepper, oil), and lots of different baking and cooking pans and such. One of the reasons we picket this cottage was it offered off-street parking - which was true, but the drive way is very narrow so best to back in, which was a bit tricky at first but soon got the hang of it. Some of the rooms face the street, so some road noise, but that should be expected when staying in a village. Would happily stay here again as it was a great location to explore Yorkshire!"

"Spotless linen and towels. Breakfast lovely. Staff delightful and so so helpful but suddenly jobless. I was advised it was shutting within 3 days so had to walk to sister hotel 5 minutes away for breakfast. Shared toilet and shower with 2 other rooms. Room very cold at night so cleaner gave me an electric radiator from another room. This property needs a lot of fuel Injection to bring it up to standard. Staff worked hard and were brilliant but the hotel was damp, scruffy and certainly seen better days. Sharing bathroom and toilet with up to 5-6 other people unacceptable. I used facilities with people I went to visit. The owner needs lessons in keeping staff morale up !"
