"We really enjoyed our five nights at this well situated hotel. It’s within walking distance of major sites and close to good restaurants (the concierge staff was tremendously helpful in helping us make dinner choices). The room was relatively spacious with a fabulous bathroom. The breakfast is awesome with menu ordering for entrees plus a plentiful buffet. Really one of the best we’ve experienced in lots of international travel, Unfortunately, the weather didn’t allow us to visit the rooftop bar. Maybe next time!"

"Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were excellent and the hotel shuttle was especially beneficial. The only recommendation I would offer is to have coffee mugs and ice and water dispensers in the rooms or at least on each floor."

"This was my second time staying at this hotel and it won’t be my last! The property is easy to get to from Kyoto station, the staff are all so friendly and professional, the amenities are great, rooms are clean and comfortable. The onsen is one of my favorite things about staying here. The breakfast is excellent too!"

"We had a great stay at Kyoto Granbell Hotel. Coming from Canada, we expected the room and bathroom to be quite small by our standards, and they were, but that was not a surprise and didn’t take away from the overall experience. The service was excellent, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the food was very good. The location was also fantastic, making it very convenient to explore Kyoto and get around the area. The hotel is close to Gion and many restaurants, shops, and attractions, while still being a comfortable place to come back to after a long day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again when visiting Kyoto."

"The hotel was very clean, very close to the station and skytree, and had all the amenities we needed (even an air frier, rice cooker, and washer and drier) only issue we had was that there was no elevators so lugging 11 luggages up and down the narrow stairs was difficult."
