"Love this location! This was our second stay and just love area, the fact that it’s pet friendly with a great staff. The flowers surrounding the entire property were a nice bonus!! Will be returning for sure!!"

"Room was great until we looked out the patio door and found an eight foot construction fence and heavy equipment literally a foot from the door, blocking light, views and the ability to sit outside our room. The front desk told us the pool and hot tub was under renovation, but not that it was a major job site. It would have been nice to know before with booked."

"Air conditioning wall unit stopped and did not work, we were very hot at night. Hallways, gym area, elevators, and garage were very creepy and dirty. We were scared. We also couldn’t get any soda or bottled water because the machines only take cash. Please consider people’s safety and security, and needing to feel comfortable. The room is fine, but couldn’t use the coffee machine because cups were not wrapped in plastic for safety. Please do not charge people $500 plus. This is a $150 hotel. The view is pretty, but will not stay here again. Best wishes. "

"This is one of the nice hotel I could have stayed I could have given 5/5 but only issue was AC control which is very old system and was unable to understand unless I goggled it Positives 1. Hot tub 2. Area 3. Cleanliness and room 4. Vessels Negatives AC system "

"The Lodge is not for everyone as it has the quirkiness of anything that is old. Floors are uneven, doors don't always fit, lighting is terrible for reading, ( bring your own reading light ) there is no AC or an elevator, yet we love this place and return once a year. Surprisingly, since there are only two places to eat in the village, a pizza place and the Lodge, one would guess that the Lodge could get away with mediocre food, but that is not the case. I had wild mushroom stuffed ravioli, my husband had the chicken alfredo and both were amazing! There are only a few untouched by mega money small towns or villages left to be found in Colorado. This is one of them. Sit by the Crystal River and enjoy the view up or down the valley and the gorgeous Chair Mountain. Although there are no good hikes right out of the village, there are many up and down the valley. Our favorite is Avalanche Creek with all its ferns. Down the valley there are hot springs and up the valley there is the fascinating town of Marble where marble for the Lincoln Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was mined. Go on over McClure Pass and marvel at the expansive view of aspen covered mountains. The Redstone Lodge is the perfect base camp to see and appreciate the beauty of nature, learn history and restore your soul with peacefulness."
