"Absolutely loved this hotel!! So close to downtown I walked in one morning. Convenient to everything and yet far enough away and on the ocean. We loved it so much we want to make it an annual or semi-annual trip. Friendly staff, beautiful and well maintained, rooms were spacious… can’t say enough good things about it!!"

"We had an amazing time. Road trip with the kids. Staff was amazing and gave really good suggestions for our time here! One night here costs more than 3 nights at another hotel we stayed at. (And thats even on one if the cheaper nights) it was beautiful sitting out for the sunset . Otherwise no frills."

"Very nice property. Liked it. Large clean room, decent breakfast spread. Liked the late night tea/hot chocolate availability. Good, friendly service from front desk. Only negative was that there was no drinking water available anywhere - not a fountain or water dispenser or other option, and no water bottles provided in the room. Had to buy gallons of water at Walmart nearby."

"From a picture, we thought we would be closer to the water. There was a little view of it. This would be a great place for families with children in the warmer months, pool, and lots of room to run around or ride bikes. This is an older hotel that has been updated. We wanted to Uber into Bar Harbor but no Ubers were in the area. Luckily we were able to find parking both evenings."

"A lovely place. I wish we had spent more time on property. Staff was pleasant and available. We had a significant issue with the wood stove (smoking) but it was no one’s fault and the staff did try to help. They comped our dinner because of the issue which was nice but not necessary. It was quite cold at night and waking up each morning. FYI, for people with medium or long hair, it would be difficult to wash your hair due to low pressure."

"The studio interior was very nice and just as described. The firepit area and outdoor shower were great amenities, but the hot water did run out on one night when all 3 of us took showers. The kitchen area was more well appointed than we expected. The property as a whole is very peaceful and you can see the stars incredibly well.There were a few shortcomings not mentioned in the listing which prevented us from giving 5 stars. For one, the parking situation is extremely tight and our car got blocked in at certain times. It seemed like more land could be cleared to open up additional parking spots when 4-5 cars are being parked at once on the property (and we only had one car for our group). On the last night, we had to leave very early so parked across the road to ensure we would not be blocked in.Also, there is no sound insulation between the first floor and 2nd floor and there is a bedroom and workshop on the first floor of the barn. This was not mentioned until we were about to check in. We were woken up some mornings by noise on the first floor."
