"Although the host was somewhat responsive, I had to call VRBO to get the host to respond to my emails. The pictures on the website were obviously filtered so that the house appeared on the site to be nicer than it actually was. This host also has different rules from what most host has posted on the website for example. Check out time is 10 o’clock whereas most hosts allow for check out to be 11 o’clock. This difference caused us to check out a hour late for which we were charged for - do read the contract and don’t assume that he follows the same rules as other hosts. More importantly, the house is in a suspect neighborhood. Had I known that the house was in this neighborhood I would not have rented it.
