"When I arrived, they told me my room was ready, but because it was three hours prior to official check-in. They wanted to charge me an extra $35. I told them this was ridiculous and then when they found out I was a Bonvoy member they said oh no, we can check you in. I was not arriving at eight in the morning and since the room was ready, there is no reason to try to charge people extra when it is reasonable to arrive two hours or so before actual check-in. Well, I understand you don’t want people checking in way before the regular check-in if the room is ready and specially if you are a Bonvoy gold member, they should say welcome here’s your key!"
